Abstract
With the speedy evolution in the wireless communication systems, there is an extreme requirement for extraordinary data rate, high reliability, and good quality of transmission link. To aid these requirements, techniques involving Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output- (MIMO) antenna is one of the utmost promising implementations. Without surplus power requirement, it employs multiple radiators at both transmitting and receiving side that further improves the system capability and reliability. Strength of a signal and data throughput of wireless communication systems can be enhanced further by implementing a system which is reconfigurable with MIMO antenna. However, there can also be a common situation where there can be coexistence of all the wireless bands. Hence designing of UWB-MIMO is a challenging assignment and it turns into a more challenging task when the preference of selective band rejection is also integrated (i.e.) a method of introducing reconfigurability. This article gives a bird view for the beginners those work on reconfigurable MIMO antennas with band notch features and develops them to have a great insight about the available reconfigurable MIMO antennas. Further this type of review is not presented in the literature to our knowledge. Keywords
