Abstract
Good governance is the essence of success for every public and private organization. The traditional governance system is delayed and costly. With the robust development of information technology, an adaptation of e-governance is common across the country to reduce the drawbacks of the traditional governance system. But the complaints from the public related to the discharge of public service have not been reduced. The claims of the general public lie on poor economic governance in the implementation of e-governance. Thus, the study aims to examine the role of economic governance on e-governance practices. Descriptive and correlational research designs were deployed while undertaking the study to explain the position of variables in the national context and examine the relationship between economic governance and e-governance. The bureaucrats, academicians and business professionals are the respondents of the study. Purposive sampling methods were deployed. The study findings show the government should develop a strategic framework for the effective implementation of e-governance. Government tends to focus on infrastructure, and qualified manpower development and increase computer literacy on the public to effective implementation of e-governance in Nepal. Keywords
