Abstract:
Pregnant women with anemia and thrombocytopenia are exposed to health risks. Therefore, Levine's conservation theory approach combined with the Health Belief Model theory could be applied to assist pregnant women to optimize their adaptive responses and achieve maximum health. Levine's conservation theory focuses on maintaining an individual’s integrity and helping them to adapt to their conditions through the principle of conservation. For the Health Belief Model theory, the involvement and belief of pregnant women are the main aspects required to prevent and treat anemia and thrombocytopenia through their perceived susceptibility, seriousness, benefits, and barriers. Five cases of pregnant women with anemia and thrombocytopenia were provided nursing care that used Levine's conservation and Health Belief Model theory. Doing so resulted in the pregnant women adapting to their conditions and prevented any adverse impacts on their pregnancy.

Abstract:
Background: Based on the KPAI survey, 66.4% of fathers and 71% of mothers adopted parental care, and 47.1% of fathers and 40.6% of mothers communicated with their children for only one hour. This study aimed to determine the relationship between readiness to become a parent, social support, and marital support with parenting self-efficacy for mothers in RW 06 Cibadung Village, Gunung Sindur District. Methods: This quantitative method uses an analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The purposive sampling technique was used in this study, with a total of 145 samples; data were analysed using the Spearman Rank correlation test. Results: The study showed that the statistical test of readiness to become parents with parenting self-efficacy had a p-value = 0.015. The statistical test of social support with parenting self-efficacy got a p-value = 0.043, and the statistical test results of spousal support with parenting self-efficacy got a p-value = 0.911. Conclusion: The study showed that there is a relationship between parenting readiness and parenting self-efficacy, no relationship between social support and parenting self-efficacy, and no relationship between marital support and parenting self-efficacy. This study suggests increasing readiness to become parents by changing the perception of parenting so as not to depend on social and marital support.

Abstract:
Motivational program as a form of mutual aid could offer great benefits to promote healthy eating among Thai elderly with Diabetes and Hypertension. The purpose of this study is to examine the average, knowledge, practice recommendations, and patients' perceptions of the severity of their diseases before and after receiving the My Color Health Innovation. This quasi-experimental research used a one-group pretest-posttest design that aimed to examine the effects of the innovation "My color health" on knowledge, behavior, and the perception of disease severity in patients with diabetes and hypertension. This study used the concept of the 7-Color Ball. The sample consisted of 20 elderly people and was selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments consisted of the innovation "My color health" knowledge test behavior, and perception of the severity of diabetes and hypertension questionnaires. The questionnaire in Google Forms was used to collect data. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired t-tests. The results revealed that after using "My color health", the differences in the mean scores of knowledge, guidelines for practice, and perceived severity of diabetes and hypertension were statistically significant (P< 0.05). This research shows that the innovation of "My color health" can increase knowledge, behavior, and perception of the severity of diabetes and hypertension. It can be used as a guideline for the care of patients with uncontrolled diabetes and hypertension.

Abstract:
Background: The mean arterial pressure (MAP) is the average arterial pressure during one cardiac cycle (systole, and diastole). MAP is affected by cardiac output and systemic vascular resistance, each of which is affected by several factors. Objective: This aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of hypno-pressure on Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP) in patients with cardiovascular disorders. Methods: A quasi-experimental research design with a pretest-posttest with a control group was used in this study. Purposive sampling was used to select 56 respondents for this study, and twenty-eight respondents were randomly assigned to the experiment and control groups. The bedside monitor was used to measure MAP. Paired t-tests and Independent t-tests were used for data analysis. Results: There was a significant effect of hypno-pressure on the decrease of MAP value in patients with cardiovascular disorder with p-value 0.000 (<0.05), t = 7.217, and effect size of 1.18. Conclusion: Hypno-pressure could reduce MAP in patients with cardiovascular disorders.

Abstract:
HIV and AIDS are worldwide health concerns. Opportunistic infections are brought on by a weakened immune system and the introduction of germs (bacteria, fungi, and viruses) into the body. Opportunistic Infections (OIs) can cause death in >90% of AIDS patients. The objective of this research is to identify perception factors associated with a positive attitude toward preventing opportunistic infections in people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). This research was an analytical study applying a cross-sectional design and quantitative approaches. This study included 30 samples from PLWHA from the General Hospital of South Tangerang City, Indonesia. Samples were collected using a non-random sampling technique involving accidental sampling. From the results of the study, a relationship of perceived threat (p-value = 0.001; r = 0.515), perceived susceptibility (p-value = 0.044; r = 0.345), perceived severity (p-value = 0.361), perceived benefit (p-value = 0.643), perceived barrier (p-value = 0.094; r = 0.463), and perceived self-efficacy (p-value = 0,004; r = 0.463) was obtained with the prevention attitude of opportunistic infections. The perceived threat is a major factor influencing attitudes toward OI prevention.

Abstract:
Family caregivers significantly influence the ability of stroke survivors to thrive in the community despite their disability. Recently, family caregivers have been faced with the challenges of fulfilling their domestic duties while acting as the coordinators of medical and nursing care for their patients. Caring for a family member with disability is a challenging task that may even be magnified by the presence of calamities and state emergencies. This paper examined the burdens and challenges experienced by family caregivers during the COVID-19 threat. This research utilized an illustrative case study approach, which typically focuses on one or two instances of an event to illustrate a phenomenon while highlighting the contextual elements of the case. It was discovered that the emergence of a highly contagious and deadly virus required a major adjustment in the lives of family caregivers caring for family members with disabilities, especially in communities where local transmission is rampant. Despite having local policies that have been set in place to prevent the continuing transmission of new COVID-19 infections, these restrictions highly affected the way of life in the communities and accentuated the lack of community resources for medical emergencies.

Abstract:
Background: Obesity is the most common health concern among the public worldwide. Weight gain among students occurred during their college years, when physical activity and dietary patterns were observed to change. The Health Belief Model (HBM) depicts the role of anticipating and justifying the causes of a person's transformation or maintenance of specific health behaviors. Objective: This study determines the prevalence of obesity and the differences in weight management behaviours with gender among university students. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Puncak Alam Campus, Selangor, involving 377 respondents (122 males and 255 females) aged 18-26 years from February to April 2021. Health Belief Model (HBM) questionnaire on Weight Management Behaviors was used as a research tool in this study. Results: The findings showed that the majority of the respondents have a normal Body Mass Index (BMI) (n=214, 56.8%), followed by overweight (n=66, 17.5%), underweight (n=63, 16.7%) and obese (n=34, 9.0%). Independent t-test showed that female students significantly have more perceived susceptibility and cues to action than males (p<0.05). While, male students significantly have a high score in weight management behaviour for perceived benefits, perceived self-efficacy in dieting, and behavioural intention of weight management compared to female (p<0.05). Conclusion: Health interventions such as nutrition education regarding healthy food preparation and exercise schedule, including duration and types of activity, should increase female students' motivation and confidence in managing weight. Besides, an awareness campaign regarding the risk of obesity focusing on the male students must be created to generate awareness and prevention of obesity.

Abstract:
Background: Alzheimer's Disease (AD) is the most widespread form of dementia. The present study analyses the effects of aromatherapy using Melissa Officinalis essential oil, applied by massage to the hands and forearms of patients suffering from Alzheimer's disease. and to evaluate the effect on their perceived overall quality of life. Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted in two nursing homes in Italy in 2018. Data were collected through individual qualitative structured interviews based on the Quality of Life in Alzheimer’s Disease (QoL-AD) questionnaire and the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE). The authors referred to STROBE guidelines for quality reporting of observational studies. Results: Treatment with Melissa Officinalis showed positive effects on all patients after the 12th week of treatment. The results were most evident in patients in class 3 MMSE. However, class 4 MMSE patients also benefited from the treatment. Conclusions: The aromatherapy treatment delivered in this observational study, using Melissa Officinalis essential oil applied to hands and forearms, showed an improvement in the quality of life of the patients living in two different nursing homes. Due to the small sample size in this study, it is suggested that more research be done on the effects and effectiveness of aromatherapy with Melissa Officinalis essential oil for Alzheimer's disease patients.
