Abstract:
Background: Quantum learning model is a set of learning models that are proven to be effectively applied in schools. This study aims to determine the application of biological learning devices using quantum learning models to the learning outcomes of virus material can improve student learning outcomes in class X SMA Kartika XIII-1 Ambon. Method: This type of research is descriptive type. The population in this study is SMA Kartika XIII-1 Ambon. The samples in this study were all students of class X MIA SMA Kartika XIII-1 Ambon, amounting to 16 students. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and inferentially. Results: In the cognitive aspect of 16 students there were 5 students with a percentage (31.25%) getting grades (85-100) with very good qualifications and 11 students with a percentage (68.75%) getting grades (77-84) with qualifications well. Affective aspects, where at intervals of 77-84 there are 13 students (81.25%), 3 students score at intervals of 70-76 (18.75%) who have this value with complete qualifications. Psychomotor aspects, where at intervals of ≥70 there are 16 students (100%) who have grades with complete qualifications. Conclusion: The level of student success viewed from cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. This is in accordance with the analysis data and the percentage data obtained at the initial test was 65.31% while the final percentage of the test produced was 79.68%.

Abstract:
Background: In achieving a learning goal a teacher is required to be able to choose an effective learning model to be applied in a particular concept. One of the causes of students' lack of understanding of a concept is teacher-centered learning and lack of motivation in students in the learning process. The Discovery Learning and Inquiry learning model is a series of learning activities that maximally involve all students' abilities to search and investigate systematically, critically, logically, analytically, so that they are able to solve the problems themselves with confidence. Method: This study uses the Discovery Learning and Inquiry learning model on the concept of viruses in class X2 of SMA Negeri 7 Ambon. This research was conducted from 16 February to 16 March 2019. Results: This study shows that there is an increase in student learning outcomes after using the Discovery Learning learning model that is integrated with the Inquiry model. Conclusion: From the learning outcomes that are based on the student's final grade shows that there is an increase in the initial test results of students who have not reached the minimum completeness criteria and the final test has reached the minimum completeness criteria (KKM).

Abstract:
Background: The process of learning biology as one part of the whole process of education in schools has an important role in efforts to improve students' biological abilities, this study aims to determine the learning outcomes and critical thinking of students by using a brain based learning learning model combined with a mind learning model mapping on the concept of biodiversity. Method: This research was conducted at Amahai 1 High School, and the data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The object of research is 21 students in class X MIA. Results: Research shows that increasing student learning outcomes and critical thinking on biodiversity material by using a brain based learning model combined with a mind mapping model gets a pretty good improvement. This is consistent with the analysis of data on the percentage obtained from the results of the initial and final tests. Increased critical thinking can be seen by using 5 aspects with indicators on the final test and cognitive aspects. Conclusion: The application of the Brain based learning model and the Mind mapping model can improve student learning outcomes and critical thinking

Abstract:
Background: Learning outcomes are changes in student behavior due to learning. Behavior change is caused by achieving mastery over a number of materials given in the teaching and learning process. These results can be in the form of changes in cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. This study aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes of SMP Negeri 1 Kairatu on the excretion system in humans which is taught by applying the inquiry learning model combined with the POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) learning model. Method: The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. In this study, tests were given at the beginning and end of learning aimed to determine the level of student understanding of the material excretory system in humans. Non-test techniques in the form of affective assessment sheets and psychomotor assessment sheets. Results: Students' understanding of material in the Excretion System in humans prior to the implementation of the inquiry learning model combined with the POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) learning model is very low but, when integrating these two learning models there are many changes in student understanding that can be seen from their learning outcomes. Conclusion: There is an increase in student learning outcomes after conducting the teaching and learning process by using the inquiry learning model that is integrated with the POE (Predict-Observe- Explain) learning model on excretory material in humans

Abstract:
Background: Education is a process in order to influence students to be able to adapt to the environment so as to cause changes in themselves that are useful in people's lives. This study aims to obtain a picture of the activities of teachers in the learning process with lecture, discussion and simulation methods in improving learning outcomes of human respiratory system material in class XI MIA3 students of SMA Negeri 5 Ambon. Method: This research is a Classroom Action Research conducted with 2 cycles, the stages of each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were the teachers and all students of class XI MIA3 in SMA Negeri 5 Ambon in the 2019/2020 school year, totaling 34 students. The research instrument was in the form of observation sheets to obtain data on teacher activities in applying learning using lecture, discussion and simulation methods and questionnaire sheets were used to motivate students to learn biology data. Results: The activity of the teacher with the method of learning lecture discussion and simulation in the first cycle obtained good and very good categories, and the second cycle became very good. In the first cycle the average learning outcomes of students' biology was 68.29 to 91.01 in the second cycle with very good category. Conclusion: Learning outcomes in cycle II are better when compared to cycle I and in cycle II have experienced a significant increase in learning.

Abstract:
Background: Ecologically, gastropods have an important role to control the population of macroalgae in coral reefs, and economically the snail shell can be used as a source of income for people, especially coastal communities. Method: The method used is a quadratic linear transect method that is placed perpendicular to the coastline with a combination of plots on the transect line. Data analysis included species composition, diversity, dominance, and evenness of gastropod species. Results: The results of the study were 1549 gastropod individuals consisting of 46 species of 23 genera, 17 families, 2 subclasses and 4 orders. In general, the diversity and abundance of gastropods in the coastal tidal waters of the hutumuri village are relatively moderate and the species dominance is evenly distributed. Conclusion: Which consists of 46 species, 21 genera, 17 families and 4 orders. Ecological parameters of the gastropod community in the tidal waters of Hutumuri Village are density value (0.97 ind/m2), abundance value (12.867 in/m) important value (0.2590), diversity value (3.0468), dominance value (0,1445), the value of harmony (0.8010). Dominant index value (D) (0.1445) indicates no species dominance. The diversity pattern of gastropod species in the tidal waters of Hutumuri Village is having a uniform distribution pattern.

Abstract:
Background: The use of appropriate learning models, is an alternative to overcome the problem of students' low absorption of lessons, in order to improve the quality of teaching. SIMAS ERIC learning model (Skimming, Mind Mapping, Questioning, Exploring, Writing, and Communicating) is a learning model that helps teachers train students to plan learning, monitor the learning process, and evaluate student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the implementation of SIMAS ERIC (Skimming, Mind Mapping, Questioning, Exploring, Writing, and Communicating) learning models to improve biology learning outcomes in eighth grade students of one-roof state junior high school, Kairatu. Method: The research design used was descriptive research. Research subjects were 25 garde VIII students. Data on biology learning outcomes are obtained through pre-test and post-test, observation to observe cognitive, affective, and psychomotor abilities. Results: The average achievement score obtained at the final value is 85.23%. Conclusion: There is an increase in student learning outcomes shown through the results of formative tests after being taught breathing system material in human beings with the application of the SIMAS ERIC learning model (Skimming, Mind mapping, Questioning, Exploring, Writing, Communicating)

Abstract:
Background: Nila is a tropical fish that likes shallow water. Nila has better nutritional content compared to other freshwater fish, but Nila is also a food that is quickly damaged and spoiled. Pharmacological testing shows that basil has antibacterial activity. Basil leaves contain saponins, flavonoids and tannins which have many benefits besides being a spice in cooking it is also beneficial for bodily health. Method: This study immersed Nila in basil leaf extract (30 ml, 60 ml, 90 ml) dissolved in water to a volume of 0.5 liters for 30 minutes. After that it is stored at room temperature for 0 hours, 4 hours and 6 hours. Results: The results of the study using the ANOVA test showed that with the addition of basil leaf extract T1 (30ml), T2 (60 ml) and T3 (90 ml) there was no change in texture, color, odor and eyes on the 4 hour immersion while in the 6 hour immersion there was a change in texture and color. Conclusion: Based on the results and discussion above, it can be concluded that the addition of basil leaf extract to the freshness of Nila can be seen in 4 hours of immersion because, the results obtained are good, there is no change in the texture, color, odor and eye categories based on 4 sensory test scales. This happens because there is no enzyme, microorganism and chemical activity so that the freshness of the fish is maintained.

Abstract:
Background: Sugar palm plants (Arenga pinnata MERR) are plants that have great potential in terms of food shortages. Currently the main product of the palm sugar plantations is the sap of tapping male flowers made of palm sugar, sageru, vinegar and alcoholic drinks. In addition, all parts of the palm treeare useful and can be used for a variety of needs, ranging from roots, stems, leaves, fibers, and the results of their production are roomie, flour and fruit. This study aims to determine the organoleptic quality and jelly fiber content of drinks made from palm fruit (Arenga pinnata Merr). Methods: This study uses a gravimetric method to determine the levels of fiber in jelly drinks and hedonic methods to test organoleptics. Results: Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that the levels of jelly fiber drinks made from palm fruit are different. In the U-I test code the fiber content was 0,3446 while in the U-II test code it was 0,3127. Organoleptic test on jelly drink made from palm fruit showed the average for color parameters of 3, taste of 4.8, texture of 4.9, and suppleness of 4.5. This research is implied in the form of leaflets to the Taniwel community. Conclusion: The levels of jelly fiber drinks made from palm fruit are different. Organoleptic testing was carried out by 20 panelists who had tested the parameters of color, taste, texture and suppleness
