Abstract:
In learning activities that are oriented to the needs and abilities of students, it is necessary to provide a variety of learning situations that are adequate for the material which is presented and this should be tailored to the abilities and characteristics of students. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of conceptualized acquisition with open ended question-assisted model in improving critical thinking ability of students. The research design is the control group of pre-test post-test to the students of mathematics education program at Muhammadiyah University in North Sumatra. Based on the results of data analysis, it is found that the critical thinking ability of students who are taught with Conceptualized Acquisition with Open Ended Question-Assisted Model is better than the critical thinking ability of students who are taught with conventional learning model on lectures of Algebra Structure II and Conceptualized Acquisition with Open Ended Question-Assisted Model are effective in improving the critical thinking ability of students in the lecture of Algebra Structure II.

Abstract:
The regional autonomy policy, which is accompanied by the provision of balancing funds, has a goal, one of which is to have an impact on the financial independence of regency/municipal governments in Indonesia. The balancing funds provided should have an effect or have an impact on regional financial independence. This research is directed to see to what extent the relationship of fiscal decentralization can provide an increase in regional financial independence. Based on the results of the panel data regression analysis of the district/city data clusters, the results showed various results. In clusters I and IV, it shows that there is a positive and significant effect of the provision of balancing funds on regional financial independence. Meanwhile, based on the results of panel regression analysis in regencies/cities in cluster II, it shows that the provision of balancing funds has no significant effect on regional financial independence. The districts/cities in cluster III show that the balancing fund variable has a negative and significant influence on the financial independence of local governments. This implies that the provision of balancing funds for districts/cities in cluster III actually makes local governments dependent on transfer funds from the central government.

Abstract:
The Indonesian government's campaign that invites to love local coffee products also strengthens the habit of drinking coffee as a contemporary lifestyle. This has resulted in encouraging the emergence of local coffee shop product brands in Jakarta that compete with non-local brand coffee shops which have a lot of demand first. This competition eventually triggers the creativity of producers in creating a brand identity as part of the power of product marketing. This research uses a qualitative method with a netnographic approach and a case study. The research uses a netnographic method related to the existence of local coffee shops on digital artifacts that are accessed online. Using the theory of visual branding and brand identity, this study aims to find trends and big ideas for local coffee shop branding visual design ideas from 2015-2018 in Jakarta as part of the image of Indonesian local brand identity. The results of this study conclude that overall the visual elements used to describe marketing strategies with big ideas are keywords that are different from each other by describing their respective advantages. The dominant color used by the eight samples of visual branding also supports the big idea of professional, classic, modern, locality, ethnic, cultural, and romantic keywords that build these emotions in consumers. This has finally become a trend for the development of visual branding for local coffee shops in Jakarta.
