Abstract:
The basic principles of Islamic boarding school education, namely; Al Muhafadhah ala al-qadim al shalih wa al akhdzu bi al jadid al ashlah. This principle has encouraged pesantren to maintain good old Islamic values without denying better changes. This paper intends to explore two sides of the coin for Pondok Persantren where one side is a distinct advantage for but can be a boomerang that hinders the progress of Islamic education based on understanding the basic elements and values of Islamic boarding schools and, then contributing thoughts in building a holistic Islamic boarding school education so that can follow the development of science without losing the obligation to maintain basic values. Holistic pesantren education can only be achieved if it is reaffirmed that the elements of the boarding school education system are not oriented towards learning religious knowledge but how kyai, teachers / ustaz and santri can learn to live in religion.

The are two formulations of the problem, namely what is the view of the Koran regarding the culture of shaking hands by kissing the hands of scholars or kyai? Can kissing the hands of scholars or kyai get blessings according to the Qur’an? This study uses verse analysis and interpretation of the Qur’an with the mauḍū’īy (thematic) interpretation method. As for the conclusion that kissing the hands of a cleric or cleric as a form is permissible in the Qur’an, even the Qur’an obliges to glorify the ulama. The handshake by kissing the cleric’s hand, according to the Qur’an, can invite blessings from Allah because in the Qur’an one of the things that causes blessings to come down for people who always greet and stay in touch. Even in the Qur’an it is stated that then ulama are those who fear Allah, and those who are pious according to the Qur’an will be blessed by Allah SWT.

Abstract:
The direction of the Qibla is very important in salat prayer. Having to know the direction means being part of a series of prerequisite prayer requirements. For the people of Mecca and those who live there, Qibla is not a problem because they do not experience difficulties in determining it. However, for countries and cities outside Mecca in the State of Saudi Arabia it is a very important issue as to which direction the Qibla to the Ka'bah is right to accurate. There are several methods that have been invented and have been practiced and achieved accurate results, but not all ulama of fiqh can fully accept them. Through the study of Indonesian literature on the direction of the Qibla and discussed with descriptive qualitative, opinions and reasons are further explored that help address the need for discussion in astronomy. Not all circles are capable of accepting technological developments, there are some groups who refuse that it is sufficient to determine the direction of the Qibla facing west. Among the groups who reject it, namely traditional scholars or ancient kyai, they believe that the mosque built by the wali cannot be wrong or may not face the Qibla.

Abstract:
Every country has different environmental problems that have an impact on the variety of policies and implementation of environmental education. The development of environmental education is dynamic and attracts attention so that it is always discussed in order to find solutions. Integrated Islamic Schools (SIT) in Indonesia also need to consider it as a major part of their education even though the leveled schools from elementary to secondary level have specificities in the implementation of Islamic character. The offer of literature on environmental education policies is described, although not in its entirety, it is selected in order to obtain an important strategy for its implementation in SIT education. The three policies have provided insight into how environmental education should be applied in SIT. The combination strategy with acculturation and habituation is expected to provide a buffering force for character education for all parties involved in integrated education from an integrated Islamic school.
