Nushuz is a wife's that disobedience to the husband. Nushuz’s wife to the husband mentioned in QS. An-Nisa'  : 34. Indirectly in that verse also has been mentioned in tandem with a way to educate the wife of the nushuz. Many of the differences mentioned by the commentators to provide solutions regarding the wife who is nushuz. But, what is at the heart of the settlement is the final method, wadribuhunna (hitting). The concept of wadribuhunna mentioned by Wahbah Zuhaili is to beat by not injuring his wife while the concept of wadribunna. Muhammad Quraish Shihab is to look at the situation between men and women today, which is equal, so hitting is not the last way, but the right way is to give a gesture that can provide subtle education to wives who are nushuz. However, the two commentators have the same goal of the meaning of wadribuhunna, namely to apply the concept of islah that exists in the area of distribution of each interpretation.

In its corridor as a science, the science of asbabun nuzul is on a par with other scholars. Even though it was constructed by scholars, it did not necessarily make it immune to criticism and immune to development; there are always areas that are unthinkable and not even thought of. This article discusses the phenomenon of grounding the interpretation of the Qur'an in Indonesia by focusing on M. Quraish Shihab as a modern-contemporary interpreter who successfully interprets the Qur'an in written and oral form. The important location of M. Quraish Shihab in grounding the interpretation of the Qur'an lies in his efforts to interpret the Qur'an with language that is easy to understand but has high quality content. This makes M. Quraish Shihab always an important reference in the interpretation of the Qur'an in Indonesia, both among Al-Qur'an scholars and ordinary people. Tafsir Al-Misbah is evidence of success in grounding the interpretation of the Qur'an in Indonesia, both in the form of commentaries and studies. Kitab Tafsir Al-Misbah is the work of Phenomenal M. Quraish Shihab in simplifying the language of its interpretation, having previously been considered to be rambling on Kitab Tafsir Al-Qur'an 'Al-Karim. Meanwhile, the "Kajian Tafsir Al-Misbah" was born as an effort to maintain the understanding of the Qur'an by experts, so that the public gets enlightened understanding of the Qur'an by people who are truly in their capacity as interpreters of the Qur'an.

This paper aims to explore the paradigm shift in the interpretation of the Qur'an in the classical and contemporary eras in the path of interpretation of Ibn Kathir and Fazlur Rahman. The focus in this study examines the causes of shifts in interpretation and contextualization of the interpretation model. The type of research is library research so that in this study using qualitative (descriptive-analytical) research, it is research that describes the object to be critically examined, and looks for the roots of the character's thoughts. The approach that I want to use in this study is historical-analytical, that is, according to historical roots analytically the shift in interpretation occurs. The results of this study indicate that, the interpretation of interpretation in the classical and contemporary era of interpretation is caused by the shifting paradigm, namely the birth of a new methodological concept to prove the suitability between text and social relaity. The argumentation of Ibn Katsir's interpretation of the "Classical Era" The main characteristic of his interpretation model is the textual pattern based on the interpretation of bil ma'tsur. Second, the interpretation of Ar-ra'yi. While Fazlur Rahman "Contemporary Era" can prove interpretation as an effort to solve problems in answering various challenges of the times. This is due to the emergence of a variety of interpretive approaches including: contextual orientation in interpretation, interpretation as social transformation, and gender analysis as an effort to seek justice.

This article describes the academic aspects of the interpretation of Mahmud Yunus which is named Tafsir Al-Qur’an al-Karim. This interpretation is one of the pioneers of Indonesian-language interpretation works that are widely used by the majority of Muslims in Indonesia. He dared to introduce the use of Latin letters for translation and interpretation of the Qur'an. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The conclusion of this study is that the academic aspects of Mahmud Yunus' interpretation work include scientific, social and intellectual styles. The scientific style in its interpretation is a new style that is associated with developing science, so its interpretation seems to emphasize the close relationship between the Qur'an and the development of science and technology which are the main characteristics of modern thought. The social and intellectual patterns are more demonstrated by Mahmud Yunus through the use of elements of common expressions, as well as traditions, customs and socio-cultural phenomena in their interpretation.

The study of interpretation in the disruption era is done to avoid the error of interpretation so that it does not correspond to the intent of the content of the Qur'an. This is because the Qur'an as the miracle of the Prophet Muhammad saw. contains extraordinary beauty and greatness as a guideline for human beings. The rule of interpretation of the Qur'an in the disruption era is a decree that helps an interpreter or exegetes to withdraw the meaning/messages of the Qur'an and explain what is a misconception of the verses content in relation to the increasingly unexpected changes. The rules of the Qur'anic exilence can be used as guidelines in this disruption era can refer to the view of Abd ar-Rahman ibn Nasir Al-Sa'adi in his books Al-Qawaid Al-Hisan Al-Qur'anic Tafsir as quoted by Abd. Rahman Dahlan that there are five rules of the Qur'an interpretation. Meanwhile, Muhammad Chirzin in his book presents twelve rules of interpretation of the Qur'an that can be used as a guideline in the disruption era. Meanwhile, the importance of the interpretation of the Qur'an in the disruption era, namely; First, it can help a person's interpreter in revealing the expressed or implied meaning in the Qur'an, so that it can do it reveal what if it is still vague and unclear. Secondly, in order not to give the etymological meaning of the pronunciation of the Qur'an with other meanings that are not appropriate, both in the meaning of the essence and the meaning of majazi.

Development of reason or innovative creative thinking in Islamic education so far has been seen as not having a normative and theological foundation in the Koran so that it is clashed with the development of morals that already have a normative basis in the Koran, namely qolb. This study analyzes the concept of ‘Aql in the Koran as a normative-theological foundation for critical, creative and innovative thinking in Islamic education. The approach in this study is a qualitative type of library research. The data source in this study is the interpretation of the Qur'anic verses about the activities of thinking or berpikir ‘Aql, such as thinking (fikr), pondering (taddabur), understanding (tabashshur), understanding and so forth. The data analysis technique used in this study is interpretive hermeneutics. Qur'anic verses about neuroscience can be traced through key terms that refer to brain activity. The results showed that the interpretation of neuroscience verses can be traced through the concepts of tafakur, tadabur, ta'aqul, and so on. The interpretation of the concept of ‘Aql in the perspective of neuroscience can be a theological normative foundation in the development of critical, creative and innovative thinking in Islamic education. the results of this study will have implications for the paradigm of Islamic education which was originally only oriented to developing dichotomic qolb-based morals into the development of the critical thinking potential of students who are more holistic with a more scientific approach.

Theoretically, the stories in the Qur'an have the advantage to give more impression to human beings so that they can shape attitudes and behavior. Especially for young people, the method of storytelling is easier for them to accept the lessons. This is supported by preliminary findings that when the verses of the Qur'an are gathered which contain the word “youth” in them, then all of the verses contain stories, so this research has a hypothesis that the stories of the Qur'an ( qashash al- Quran ) has an influence in the building of prophetic characters for the younger generation. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out whether there is an influence of the study of the Qur'anic qashash on the prophetic characters building in young generation. This research uses quantitative methods with the type of pre-experimental research using the one group pre-test post-test design. The selection of subjects in this study uses non-random sampling techniques with a purposive sampling method. The subjects of this study were twelve people with poor and good prophetic character categories. The study was conducted at the Faculty of Usuluddin Adab and Da'wah IAIN Langsa for six meetings. The instrument used is a Likert model of Prophetic Character Scale. While data analysis uses non-parametric statistical techniques using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with the help of SPSS version 17.00. The results showed that in general the study of qashash Al-Qur'an was relatively effective in shaping the prophetic character of students. While specifically this study obtained conclusions; there are differences in the average score of prophetic characters before and after the treatment is given in the form of a study of Qashash Al-Qur`an. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the study of Qashash Al-Qur`an on the prophetic characters building in students.

This article discusses about the Living Quran study of recitation of wirid al-Ma’tsūrāt at Abu Bakar Senior Boarding School Kulon Progo. It focuses on the practice of wirid al-Ma’tsūrāt which is read routine by students at the school. This phenomenon, which has been going on since the school was founded, has positive values for students. They feel the positive impact of the tradition of reciting it in accordance with the function of the Koran as al-dzikr (to remembrance of Allah) and al-syifā’ (to treat for illness). With the Living Quran method, which is presented by descriptive-analitically method the result is indicate that interaction with the Koran in the form of recitation can provide peace of mind for the reader, whether recited individually or in congregation.

This article discusses about al-huruf al-muqatta’ah in the book Mafatih al-Gaib by Fakhr al-Din al-Razi. Which contains discussion, the first discussion: how is Fakhr al-Din al-Razi’s interpretation about al-huruf al-muqatta’ah ? the second discussion: what is Fakhr al-Din al-Razi’s comment on the interpretation of scholars about al-huruf al-muqatta’ah ? this research is a qualitative tafsir study based on the study of the kitab. The propose of the study is that the data is taken from the kitab related to the research title. The approach used is tafsir science approach, language and philosophy. Researchers make al-huruf al-muqatta’ah as an object of research by using several books related to it to find out the interpretation of scholars (especially Fakhr al-Din al-Razi) about al-huruf al-muqatta’ah. The reason why the researcher choose this title its because there are differences in opinions of scholars into two opinions. First opinion: these letters are the secret of Allah, second opinion: the purpose of al-huruf al-muqatta’ah can be known and there are many words of scholars about itu, even though there was no direct axplanation from the Prophet Muhammad about the meaning of al-huruf al-muqatta’ah. Therefore researchers think it is necessary to conduct research. The result of this study founds that Fakhr al-Din al-Razi strengthened the opinion that al-huruf al-muqatta’ah is the name of surah and to attract the attention of non muslims to read the Qur’an after they advised one another to turn away from the Qur’an.
