Abstract:
This research was carried out in a manufacturing company producing industrial paints for steel roofing and walling. The level of sales of industrial paint varies and fluctuates depending on product demand from customers. Due to fluctuating demand and forecasting methods for current product demand that is less accurate based only on demand from the previous period, the inventory of imported raw materials has not been optimal. The ARIMA method is used to forecast and then control imported raw material inventories using the probabilistic Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to determine the optimal order quantity, safety stock, re-order points and order frequency so as to minimize the total inventory cost. With the probabilistic EOQ method that implements the existence of safety stock will be able to minimize the risk of a shortage of imported raw materials so that the burden of shortage costs can be minimized. The results shows that the proposed method provides a total inventory cost savings of Rp.493,832,731 or obtained a 66% reduce cost compared to the company method

Abstract:
Kemajuan teknologi telekomunikasi yang pesat telah mempengaruhi dunia medis. Saat ini kita mengenal istilah telemedicine yaitu suatu metode dalam dunia medis yang memanfaatkan teknologi telekomunikasi (termasuk internet)di bidang kesehatan untuk mengirim dan menerima berbagai informasi kedokteran dari tempat satu ke tempat lainnya guna meningkatkan pelayanan klinis dalam mendiagnosa dan terapi kesehatan serta pendidikan medis. Artikel ini merupakan sebuah tinjauan tentang telemedicine yang sudah berkembang di Indonesia dengan cukup signifikan seiring perkembangan jaringan telekomunikasi dan alat untuk mengaksesnya. Metode pada pembahasan ini adalah dengan melakukan berbagai kajian pustaka terkait telemedicine dan teknologi pendukungnya. Sebagai kesimpulan didapatkan bahwa penerapan telemedicine di Indonesia masih terus menghadapi tantangan berupa kondisi konektivitas jaringan telekomunikasi dan ketersediaan perangkat yang memadai untuk mengakses telemedicine. Diharapkan kondisi ini bisa diperbaiki dan ditingkatkan di masa-masa mendatang.The rapid advancement of telecommunication technology has influenced the medical world. Currently we know the term telemedicine, which is a method in the medical world that utilizes telecommunications technology (including the internet) in the health sector to send and receive various medical information from one place to another in order to improve clinical services in diagnosing and treating health and medical education. This article is an overview of telemedicine which has developed in Indonesia quite significantly along with the development of telecommunication networks and the means to access them. The method in this discussion is to conduct various literature reviews related to telemedicine and its supporting technology. As a conclusion, it can be concluded that the implementation of telemedicine in Indonesia continues to face challenges in the form of conditions of telecommunications network connectivity and the availability of adequate equipment to access telemedicine. It is hoped that this condition can be improved in the future.

Abstract:
In the production of motorcycles at PT XYZ, there are various manufacturing processes and one of them is the Assy Wheel process. The Assy Wheel process for the K93X type performed on PT XYZ has a fairly low track efficiency. This happens because there are some unbalanced work stations where the conditions are quite detrimental to the company, so they need to be minimized or eliminated. One way to minimize unbalanced work stations is by balancing work tracks with the RPW (Ranked Positional Weight) method. This method is done by making a precedence diagram, determining the weighting of positions for each work element, sorting work elements by ranking position, placing work elements on a work station, placing the remaining time on an operation in the next sequence at the work station. After the analysis process is carried out on the Assy Wheel Track, there is a work element at the work station that needs to be changed and balanced. Work elements are combined at the next work station so that the track efficiency increases from 74% to 95%, the number of work stations and labor is reduced from four to two

Abstract:
Kualitas adalah salah satu indikator keberhasilan suatu perusahaan dalam memenuhi kepuasan pelanggan serta dapat meningkatkan daya saing dalam dunia industri. Kualitas sendiri memerlukan pengendalian dalam rangka mempertahankan dan meningkatkan standar semaksimal mungkin. Di PT Bumimulia Indah Lestari belum terdapat pengendalian proses dan kualitas secara optimal, terutama pada proses labelling sehingga proporsi produk cacat pada proses tersebut masih tinggi yang ditandai dengan defect label pada produk botol MF Cussons 900 ml. Salah satu usaha yang dapat mengurangi proporsi produk cacat yaitu dengan implementasi metode SPC (Statistical Processing Control). Alat bantu dari metode tersebut yang digunakan adalah bagan kendali p (p-chart) untuk mengukur proporsi produk cacat, diagram sebab-akibat (fishbone diagram) untuk mengetahui penyebab awal dari suatu permasalahan yang kemudian ditelusur lebih lanjut terkait akar dari masalahnya dengan Why Analysis, dan dari hasil serangkaian penelitian tersebut ditentukan action plan yang bertujuan meminimalisasi produk cacat dari berbagai aspek. Dengan implementasi SPC (Statistical Processing Control) pada proses labelling botol MF Cussons 900 ml maka proporsi produk cacat sudah terkendali, serta menurunkan presentase jumlah produk cacat dari 15,838% menjadi 3,244%.

Abstract:
As one of the main vital for automotive company, the maintenance of machine is very vital to be maintained and controlled to prevent any meaningless downtime. But during January 2015 until November 2018, machine is the highest downtime contributor for molding line with total downtime 2320.49 hours. Especially for dust collector machine IDC001 that contribute the highest downtime of the machines. It is caused by the current preventive maintenance schedule still not considering the machine reliability. The schedule also cannot represent the actual lifetime of its critical components which are dust tube, shaft, v-belt, and bearing. Moreover, there is no any data recorded about the components performance that make the maintenance team cannot predict the component lifetime accurately. The objectives of this research are to achieve 80% reliability and to get more data of component performance by proposing the new preventive maintenance schedule and continuous monitoring activity. After several failure functions calculation, then the new preventive maintenance schedule is established. Through the analysis of what the current maintenance system needs today, there are vibration monitoring and dust concentration monitoring activities that will be proposed to get more data to predict the component lifetime in the future. By implementing the proposed preventive maintenance schedule and continuous monitoring activities, the maintenance team able to get more data to predict the component lifetime and the reliability of each component will increase into 80% with total savings IDR 830,645,805.

Abstract:
The advent, of Libya‘s fourth industrial revolution (4IR), rendered the structure of the country‘s smart factories exceedingly intricate, vibrant and variable. Several investigators, in this domain, believe that the most significant factors, influencing the outcome of Libya‘s 4IR, are the skills gap and manpower development issues. In order for the 4IR to progress, it is crucial that more sophisticated capabilities be developed. This undertaking should begin with an assessment of the existing expertise of the stakeholders themselves (self-evaluation). The purpose of this exercise, is to identify the deficiency in skills, with regards to the skill sets, that are essential for the 4IR. This calls an evaluation of the stakeholders‘ degree of comprehension regarding the 4IR, and their willingness to involve themselves in this exercise. Stakeholders both within and beyond Libya‘s manufacturing division, should be taken into account for this evaluation. The main objective, of this study, is to ascertain the impact of 4IR, on the aspects of human labour and work organization. To achieve this objective, we opted for the quantitative method. A questionnaire was formulated to scrutinize every single detail in the manpower‘s supply chain, stretching from Libya‘s learning system to its workforce.

Abstract:
A project is part of the activity done by the company in order to achieve its business goal. One of the activities inside a project is tendering to ensure the availability of the resources needed for the project is fulfilled. PT. X is one of the companies that implement the tendering process to achieve its business goal. One of the operations that require the tendering process is the security operation. The tender announcement is made for the public for any vendors able to fulfilled the requirement can apply for the tender and follow the selection process. The selection process is conducted by the procurement committee and the contract engineer. They determined the tender evaluation criteria and give scores to each of the criteria. In the current condition, the determination of the weight is prone to subjectivity due to the non-existence of any quantitative method in the decision-making process. This study proposes the use of the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) as a tool to help the company to determine the criteria, sub-criteria, and each of the weights as the quantitative method. This method reduces the subjectivity factor and ensures a structured decision-making framework. The winner of the tender from this study and the current condition are the same. However, the final score is different, and the vendor with the lowest score is also different. This difference is due to the different weights in the current condition and this study.

Abstract:
Controlling robot use a Teaching Pendant to communicate between users and arm robot. Teaching Pendant has a weight of about 1,250 kg. Left hand is used to handle teh Teaching Pendant and the on/off of motor o the arm robot. And the right hand is used as an operator in pressing the drive button in the Teaching Pendant. The position of users is stand when practicing controlling robot. The user feels some of the pain in the left hand, right hand and waist when using the Teaching Pendant. Based on the problem, I propose for tool to hold the Teaching Pendant. The method that use is the Value Engineering approach, making FAST diagrams for determining the function of the tools, and Nordic Body map to obtain the real data of pain. Respondent are users of Teaching Pendant. The result was 67,98% feel the pain because using the Teaching Pendant. The function of the tool that has been made is to hold the Teaching Pendant, using hollow iron for the materials. Tool testing was carried out with the same respondents, and they must fill the Nordic Body Map after they used the tool. The result of using this tool are able to reduce the total pain by 36,36% from the total pain in the beginning.

Abstract:
Quality is an assessment of products that are in accordance with customer specifications and relate to the level of customer satisfaction. Quality is one of the factors that influence the competitiveness of a product in the market. One indicator of the quality of a product is the presence or absence of defects (defects) of the products produced. In this study the DMAIC method was applied to solve the problem in the process of filling the 40 gram seasoning flour packaging on a single line machine at PT XYZ. The use of the DMAIC method aims to reduce defects due to the instability of the seasoning flour filling process which causes a mismatch of product weights to the specified standards. The improvement phase includes setting the machine by adjusting the distance between the cup and scraper on a single line machine and by increasing the number of sampling. Sampling the weight of the product that was previously only once every hour by the QC operator, added to the sampling every half hour by the production operator and once an hour is still carried out by the QC operator.

Abstract:
Ensuring the continuous supply of materials in the manufacturing system is a very important factor in ensuring the smooth production process and product fulfillment to consumers. A motorcycle manufacturing company that has several plastic parts injection suppliers, but the problem is that some plastic parts suppliers only take from one material supplier with the trademark ABS-J. This single supplier is very risky in terms of the ability to supply materials and also the possibility of a price monopoly that can be done by material suppliers because they have no competitors. With the PDCA approach, research is conducted to determine the addition of alternative ABS materials to ensure material supply availability and also obtain potential benefits that can be obtained by implementing multi-ABS material suppliers. With the trial and error method of using other alternative materials, namely ABS Star and also fish bone analysis, can get the same quality results as ordinary ABS-J material, by changing the injection machine parameter settings. The parameter setting is oriented towards reducing the temperature of the material by lowering the temperature of the barrel to (230-225-220-200 ° C), reducing the injection speed (45-55-45-35) and using Holding Pressure (70 Pa) for ABS Star material.

Abstract:
Growing the economy is a concern for President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) government, which is why attention is so important to the construction companies. Some of the largest construction firms reported major rises throughout the value of federal contracts. Attempts to improve the infrastructure services of the organization can be made through a control system of factors affecting the performance of the company which ultimately determines the business success in achieving its goals. PT. Waskita Karya Tbk and PT. Wijaya Karya Tbk implement green construction, and green building for their environmental management quality standard, meanwhile PT PP (Persero) implement 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) theory. Regarding raw materials / products which come mainly from nature. Those three businesses have received no reports over the course of the year about the environmental business. The environmental management system then proves that improve the management standard will increase productivity and decrease the risk.

Abstract:
Coal mining is one of the most developed industrial sectors in Indonesia. The quality of natural mineral resources spread across several islands makes Indonesia the 4th coal-producing country in the world. The main component in the coal mining industry activity is changing land and changing the landscape, which causes a high potential impact on the environment, social and community economy. Apart from having a direct effect on the ground, the mining industry is an activity that has a high risk of accidents that result in human injury to death. Therefore, occupational safety and health (K3) are important centres of attention in the mining industry. ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 are international standard certifications that become a component of a company in testing OHS control and environmental management, respectively. Qualitative methods are applied in this study to investigate what programs PT Adaro Energy Tbk, PT Toba Bara Sejahtera Tbk, and PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk in implementing ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. And the result is that Adaro Energy and Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk have carried out various types of programs to control the environment and prevent accidents for their workers. Meanwhile, Toba Bara needs to improve environmental programs and tighten activities related to training to avoid accidents during operations.

Abstract:
Kebutuhan pencahayaan di tambang batubara adalah vital untuk proses produksi. Adanya masalah sejumlah lampu Led yang mati di area tambang merupakan tantangan bagi PT Nobi Putra Angkasa untuk melakukan inovasi unit lampu LED berdaya besar. Penulis adalah praktisi sebagai kepala bagian produksi di perusahaan itu yang merupakan manufaktur lokal yang mengembangkan inovasi dari Lampu PJU ke lampu tambang dengan standar SNI yang sudah menembus pasar di perusahaan tambang besar. Setelah dilakukan pemeriksaan secara visual pada lampu LED yang mengalami kerusakan adanya indikasi kelebihan panas. Pengujian berbagai tipe lampu LED untuk mengetahui pengaruh kenaikan temperatur sambungan (junction temperature) terhadap penurunan intensitas cahaya. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan 4 sampel lampu NL500A, NL500B, NL500C, NL500D. Untuk waktu pengujian dilakukan per 15 menit sampai menemukan data yang stabil pada menit ke 180 .Hasilnya pengujian pada lampu adalah temperatur sambungan NL500A = 80.76°C., NL500B = 90.98°C., NL500C = 71.32°C., NL500D = 75.31°C. dari hasil tersebut bahwa memenuhi standar datasheet pabrikan LED maksimum 150°C. Metoda kesimpulan ini adalah korelasi panas yang ditimbulkan dan panas yang dibuang melalui sirip. Lampu LED NL500 A, C dan D adalah manufaktur internal perusahaan menggunakan mesin SMT, sedangkan NL 500B produk import. Lampu NL 500D menggunakan LED Nichia 149 dengan efikasi 133,64 Lumen/ watt dari hasil uji Fotometri metoda IES 79-08. Pengukuran junction temperature (Tj) NL500C paling baik untuk transfer panasnya sehingga nilai Tj nya paling kecil dengan nilai rata-rata 58,52°C karena resistance thermal = 0.9 °C/Watt. Lampu LED NL500D unggul di intensitas cahaya dengan nilai rata-rata 3794,16 lux.

Abstract:
This research of literature study discusses about the function and application of infrared sensor-based motion detection devices for work safety on industrial cam machinery.This device was designed to assist the industry in preventing the work accidents that occur due to hazardous industrial machinery. The detector uses a PIR (Passive Infra-Red) sensor as a motion detector of the human limbs. On its application, PIR sensor is placed on a specific side of the machine. Then, the system will provide an automatic cut-off alarms on the machine when a person crosses the fabric area that has been detected by the sensor. It was expected that this way will protect the manpower from the occurrence of work accidents which are caused by dangerous industrial machines. With the implementation of this infrared sensor design, the analysis of hazardous machinery is becoming increased so that this infrared sensor based working security system is growing and easier for shaping in many designs.

Abstract:
An approved sample is a sample that has been tested in a laboratory and approved by experts who understand it to be a sample in the production process. In the current process, all sample identities are written manually and repeatedly inputted by several people. This manual process is a major bottleneck in producing approved samples so that it can cause delays in the production process. This manual process causes employees to have to work overtime 2-3 hours every day to complete the approved sample which must be issued on the same day. To overcome this problem, an information system was developed to eliminate bottlenecks in this process. Design and development of software use the SDLC method which includes information gathering to find out business processes, DFD analysis, design user interface, ERD and database, and continued with development using Visual Studio, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and VBA as well as Microsoft Outlook as supporting programs. After the software is implemented it can be seen that the bottlenecks that have occurred so far can be removed and the work completed faster, no additional overtime is required and can even be one day sooner. Besides all the data is stored more neatly and facilitates the process of finding data.

Abstract:
Transportation is a sector that has a dependency on fossil fuel production and will produce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is a pollutant produced by vehicles which causes air pollution. The increase in vehicle demand causes an increase in CO2 emissions, which is the cause of global warming. But vehicles with fossil fuels are still a necessity for community mobilization. Because most vehicles used today are fossil fuel vehicles, the measurement of the efficiency of fossil fuel use is very important. The measure used to see the efficiency of fuel use by vehicles is Vehicle Kilometer Traveled (VKT). By using mobilev software, carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from fossil fuel vehicles can be predicted. CO2 emissions that occur in an industrial area are caused by several types of motor vehicles, namely motorcycles, LDV and HDV cars. From the analysis of the correlation between CO2 emissions with each type of vehicle obtained that the motor and LDV have a strong correlation with CO2 emissions, but the correlation with HDV is weak. This shows that CO2 emissions from each vehicle will contribute to CO2 emissions, the number of motorcycles correlates very closely with CO2 emissions (r = 0.9), the number of LDV correlates closely with CO2 emissions (r = 0.7) and the number of HDV correlates weakly with CO2 emissions (r = 0.1).

Abstract:
In this study, the researchers aimed to investigate the awareness of the Malaysian manufacturing industries with regards to the implementation of the Industry 4.0 concept and also determine its levels. Different sectors of the Malaysian manufacturing sector like the Government Link Companies (GLCs), Small and Medium-scale Enterprises (SMEs), and other national or Multinational Corporations (MNCs) were included in this study. The researchers applied a survey-based research methodology and their sample size consisted of 91 Malaysian corporations. The participants in this study comprised of the managers and employees, as company representatives, and they were asked to complete the questionnaire and participate in the interview. The results of the survey showed that around 50.5% of respondents were aware and familiar with the Industry 4.0 regulations. Also, according to the survey results, the awareness regarding the Industry 4.0 regulations was mainly due to the foreign sectors including the multinational corporations like the electrical and electronic industries which contained several advanced assets and increased productivity. These results were very helpful for further research, especially for creating a future framework that could assimilate the ideas related to Industry 4.0 amongst the various other Malaysian industries belonging to the manufacturing sector.

Abstract:
Chili (cabai rawit) is one commodity that is very significant for people's daily consumption. However, the price of chili often experiences a significant increase. This condition will make the sales of chili decrease dramatically if the price rises. In addition, the margins felt by farmers to sellers of chili in the traditional market are uneven. this is also felt by other vegetable sellers. This research aims to identify the supply chain network of chili in Bekasi Regency. The margin of each stage in the supply chain network is also identified. This research employs descriptive analytical. Descriptive analytics is a preliminary stage of data processing that creates a summary of historical data to yield useful information and possibly prepare the data for further analysis. Data collection method used is by direct observation in Bekasi regency and other locations associated with suppliers of chili, then we employ direct and a phone interview with respondents. The finding shows that there are three main stages in supply chain of chili in Bekasi Regency, namely producer, distributor and consumer. The consumers can buy the product from three channels, that shows the flows of product from producer to consumer. The share of margin in the producer stage for the second flow is lower than the first flow, with the value 56.25% from 75%, then, the third flow is higher than the second flow but still lower than the first flow, with the value 64.29%.

Abstract:
Manufacturing excellence represents the goal for every manufacturing industry all around the world. Reducing waste could help achieve manufacturing excellence since waste could happen in every manufacturing industry. PT. As one of the food and beverages industry, PT. MNO also focuses on reducing waste in the production process, especially in the filling department. Similar to other departments, the filling department also has planned and unplanned stoppages. As one of the planned stoppages, the setup activities represent one of the highest waste contributions in the filling department. Therefore, PT. MNO can reduce the setup time using the Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) and 5S method. Then, the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) calculation can show the differences between filling machine productivity before and after Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) and the 5S method. As a result, the setup time is reduced from 34 minutes to 13 minutes by using the Single Minutes Exchange of Dies (SMED) method implementation. After the 5S method implementation, the setup time becomes ten minutes. The overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) calculation result shows better productivity after SMED and 5S method implementation in the filling department by the increasing OEE rate from 76% to 78% in the end. Abstract:
Product quality is one of the important aspects for the company because it involves the existence, performance, productivity and profit of the company. Quality is obtained by having quality control to minimize products and produce products according to specifications. PT. Mitra Part Perkasa as a company that provides a service of chrome plating on plastics. The company is having a new quality issue of new reject that happened on hexavalent chrome process, namely yellow reject during September and October 2019 which had never happened before. The percentage of yellow rejects that happened was more than company tolerant limits of 1.5%. To overcome this problem, using DMAIC is applied to reduce the number of rejects. The first step of DMAIC is the goal of the problem and agreed upon research objectives. The second step is to measure current quality with a control chart and decide yellow rejects as the main focus of research using pareto diagram. The third step is to analyze the yellow root causes using why why analysis and fishbone diagram. The fourth step is improvement based on each factor, man, material, method, and machine. The last step is control, this step will show the results of the improvements indicated by before the repairs were made. Based on the results, the percentage of yellow reject decreased from 2.77% to 0.55% and it can be concluded that DMAIC has succeeded in reducing yellow rejects.

Abstract:
CV Widjaya Presisi is a small and medium industry engaged in industrial services with its main products being automotive / electronic special tools, dies, jig fixture, stamping, and fabrication. The findings of the problem in the work area are remnants of material that is not removed so that the working space is narrow and no management and supervisors regulate the work environment and work safety. This study aims to implement the 5S design to existing conditions. This study uses a qualitative method, namely the 5S method. The seiri stage is designed by sorting out the equipment that is important, very important, not important and very insignificant. Seiton stage is designed by arranging goods according to the type of goods. The seiso stage is designed by making cleaning areas. The seiketsu stage is designed by providing visual control in the form of labeling, marking, and area boards. The Shitsuke stage is designed by doing activities by making 5S as a rule into the company's standard activity system. After repairs, working time can be optimized from 840 minutes to 810 minutes or a decrease of 4% from work time. The average work productivity in March 2019 and April 2019 amounted to 99.5% where in February 2019 the productivity level was only 57% and experienced a significant increase in March 2019 by 99% and April 2019 by 100%.

Abstract:
In recent years, because of the changes in the environment and an increase in the global population, there is an increase in the threat of water scarcity. Therefore, there a need for developing water supply systems that is sustainable and resilient. Rainwater harvesting (RWH) systems are a decentralized sustainable water supply system that has the potential to be implemented. Industries, as one of the sectors that will be affected, could potentially gain many benefits through the implementation of RWH systems. This paper is a literature review that has the objective of explaining the general concept of RWH systems and understanding several aspects that go into planning a rainwater harvesting system. RWH system is an old concept that has benefits and disadvantages. In planning an RWH system, there are many considerations and calculations. The catchment area, water storage, treatment train needs to be carefully chosen. In some cases of implementation, it has been observed that RWH systems have resulted in water and financial savings. There is much potential for further study of the implementation of RWH systems in industrial settings.

Abstract:
Pada paper ini dibahas solusi rekapitulasi data berbasis digital yang diterapkan pada Balai Pengembangan Teknologi Tepat Guna (BPTTG) Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY). BPTTG DIY merupakan sebuah sebuah instansi pembina teknis yang bergerak di bidang teknologi rekayasa yang berada di bawah Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan Pemda DIY. Beberapa layanan yang diberikan oleh lembaga ini antara lain: layanan konsultasi & informasi Alat Tepat Guna (ATG), layanan rekayasa & produksi ATG, layanan perbengkelan, dan layanan Common Fasilities Small and Medium Industry (CFSMI) kemasan. Lembaga ini juga memiliki dua seksi yaitu seksi rekayasa dan produksi dan seksi pengembangan dan layanan kemasan dan produk kulit. Kedua seksi ini memiliki kantor dan workshop yang terpisah secara geografis. Kondisi ini menimbulkan dampak negatif pada proses dokumentasi kegiatan yang masih dilakukan secara manual, diantaranya adalah lambatnya proses dokumentasi, potensi kehilangan dokumen, dan kesalahan pencatatan. Solusi yang dikembangkan adalah sebuah sistem informasi yang mampu mempercepat pelaporan layanan dari setiap seksi ke kantor BPTTG sehingga pelayanan yang dilakukan setiap seksi dapat dimonitor secara berkala. Perancangan solusi menggunakan pendekatan Rapid Application Development (RAD). Sistem informasi dirancang dalam bentuk website sehingga dapat diakses melalui web browser dan tidak diperlukan adanya instalasi di setiap komputer.

Abstract:
Quick Mold Change System merupakan produk auto clamping di mesin injeksi. PT. Yamata Machinery adalah agen resmi produk QMCS merk Kosmek di Indonesia. Dalam pemasangan satu set clamping ada satu proses yang menyebabkan beberapa bagian tubuh karyawan mengalami rasa sakit setelah pemasangan. Proses tersebut adalah pemasangan nipple ke manifold block. Jika permasalahan tidak segera ditangani, maka dapat mengakibatkan cidera permanen dimkemudian hari Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penyebab rasa sakit karyawan dan mecari solusi untuk meminimalkan atau menghilangkan keluhan. Metode yang digunakan adalah RULA yang berfungsi untuk menilai postur kerja. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan KANO yang berfungsi mengkategorikan atribut yang memberikan kepuasan pelanggan dan dikombinasikan dengan QFD yang berfungsi untuk menerjemahkan customer needs kedalam respon teknis. Hasil analisa penyebab rasa sakit disebabkan postur kerja yang mempunyai skor penilaian RULA sebesar 7. Solusinya merubah postur kerja dari duduk membungkuk menjadi berdiri dan menggunakan alat bantu jig JXblock + meja + ragum yang ergonomi. Hasilnya nilai postur kerja menjadi 4, dari rasa sakit pada 10 bagian tubuh menjadi 1 bagian berdasarkan Nordic Questionare, Dampak lain adalah terjadi penurunan waktu pemasangan dari rata-rata 8.45 menit menjadi 2.35 menit.

Abstract:
One of the efforts to increase production efficiency is by implementing the right scheduling. PT Autotech Perkasa Mandiri is the job shop production system. Currently implements a heuristic method with a priority dispatch rule, namely the Earliest Due Date (EDD). The EDD rule has the highest priority for the job with the earliest due date to be processed on a machine. This study is to purpose a more optimal scheduling by comparing the makespan of the current schedule with the proposed one. Previous research is the non delay schedule without considering machine availability constraints. In this study, machine availability constraints are taken into account, thus, they are more realistic when applied to the actual problem. The algorithm used is a non delay schedule with working time window (WT-NSA). Machine availability constraints that are taken into account are lunch-break hours (12: 00-13: 00) and shift changes (17: 00-08: 00). From the analysis, it is obtained that makespan from non delay schedule is 23 hours 6 minutes, while makespan from WT-NSA is 26 hours 6 minutes, and makespan from EDD schedule is 38 hours 54 minutes. Non-delay schedule has the smallest makespan, which is 23 hours 6 minutes, but WT-NSA is more realistic when applied to the real problem.

Abstract:
Permasalahan defect produksi merupakan salah satu faktor penyebab biaya produksi meningkat. Defect produksi yang tidak sesuai dengan yang telah ditargetkan berpengaruh pada daya saing perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa tingkat kegagalan kegagalan proses produksi CLIP R1 berdasarkan nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) tertinggi dan memberikan usulan perbaikan sehingga proses produksi menjadi lebih baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) sebagai dasar prioritas perbaikan. Berdasarkan hasil FMEA diketahui bahwa produksi Burry & Short dan produk NG terpacking saat pemeriksaan oleh operator merupakan jenis kegagalan yang mempunyai nilai RPN yang paling tinggi (336). Perbaikan produksi Burry & Short dengan cara menetapkan pemakaian mesin A1 & C2, pergantian komponen dan membuat standar maintenance mold (overhaul) dan mengajukan repair mold ke IRC. Perbaikan pada produk NG saat pemeriksaan dapat dilakukan dengan cara pengecekan nomor urut, pemisahan produk NG dan Ok serta pemeriksaan setiap 1/2 hari ganti model. Prioritas perbaikan ini mampu menurunkan tingkat defect dibawah 1% sesuai dengan target perusahaan. Pemilihan metode FMEA efektif memperbaiki proses produksi berdasarkan prioritas perbaikan sesuai dengan hasil RPN.

Abstract:
Covid-19 pandemic has threatened the port support service industry in Indonesia. These threats are in the form of decreasing demand throughout the customer market, increasing competition in the industry, rising operating costs, and the emergence of operational issues on how to handle operational activities safely. To deal with these issues, XYZ one of port service company was selected. Primary and secondary data are then collected, SWOT are identified and analyzed and company’s business and operational strategies are then formulated. After formulating the business strategy using diamond strategy framework and developing operational strategi based on the business strategy requirement we conclude that the strategies to solve the company problems are strengthening its network, performing taper integration and strengthening operational excellence and customer intimacy simultaneously. The suitable operation strategy to support the above strategies are taper integration, maintaining external resources, integrated planning and control, implementation of tight integrated standard business process, and continuous improvement.

Abstract:
CV. Bandung Mulia Konveksi is one of the clothing convection company located in Bandung which produces three types of products includes jackets, screen printing t-shirts and shirts. The products are produced by passing the same workstation namely the workstation of pattern, cutting, screen printing, and sewing. Based on data on the amount of production and data on the number of defective products in the last five years, CV. Bandung Mulia Konveksi can be seen that only screen printing t-shirts that have a percentage of disability outside the company's tolerance limit. Defects that occur on screen printing t-shirts can be known based on the work area. Quality improvement can be done using New Seven Tools to identify problems and 5S concepts for proposed improvements. The 5S checklist audit results and the giving of the 5S score on the conditions prior to the 5s applications a score of 20% is obtained, which means it is very bad. Whereas after the 5S implementation and the 5S audit checklist were carried out and the 5S score was given, the score increased to 62% which means good.

Abstract:
Pegawai administrasi di perkantoran memiliki banyak pekerjaan yang harus ditangani dan aktivitas yang dilakukan lebih banyak melibatkan beban mental dibandingkan dengan beban fisik. Beban kerja mental dapat menyebabkan stress kerja pada karyawan sehingga dapat mempengaruhi penurunan daya tahan pekerja dalam menyelesaikan pekerjaannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh BMI, suhu, dan durasi kerja terhadap kebutuhan energi pada aktivitas bagian administrasi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain eksperimen untuk mengetahui respon ketiga faktor terhadap kebutuhan energi. Observasi penelitian ini dilakukan di Universitas Ma Chung pada bagian Sekertariat Fakultas dengan difokuskan pada bagian Staf Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi. Faktor BMI memiliki 2 taraf, yaitu normal dan gemuk. Faktor suhu memiliki 2 taraf, yaitu nyaman optimal dan hangat nyaman. Faktor durasi kerja memiliki 2 taraf, yaitu ringan dan menengah berat. Responden dari penelitian ini adalah wanita dengan rentang usia 18-40 tahun. Rancangan dasar yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Hasil uji ANOVA menunjukkan bahwa ketiga faktor memiliki pengaruh terhadap kebutuhan energi dan adanya pengaruh interaksi antara faktor BMI, suhu dan durasi kerja terhadap kebutuhan energi. Hasil perhitungan konsumsi energi menunjukkan bahwa responden dengan BMI gemuk membutuhkan energi yang lebih besar daripada responden dengan BMI normal untuk melakukan aktivitas bagian administrasi dalam percobaan ini. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa energi yang dibutuhkan pekerja untuk melakukan aktivitas bagian administrasi pada penelitian ini masih tergolong dalam kriteria beban kerja ringan

Abstract:
Zakat bagi Umat Muslim merupakan Ibadah sosial yang wajib dilakukan dan termasuk dalam lima rukun islam. Indonesia dengan lebih dari 200 juta jiwa jumlah penduduknya beragama Islam, maka zakat, infak, sedekah dan wakaf (Ziswaf) sangat berperan dalam perekonomian di Indonesia, terutama untuk pengentasan kemiskinan dan peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Potensi Zakat, infak, sedekat dan wakaf (Ziswaf) di Indonesia menurut Baznas (Baznas, 2017) adalah sekitar 217 triliun rupiah, dengan pengumpulan zakat nasional di tahun 2019 (Baznas, 2019) terhitung mencapai 10,2 triliun rupiah. Hal ini menunjukkan masih besarnya potensi pengumpulan Ziswaf. Baitul Mal Unisba (BMU) sebagai lembaga pengelola Ziswaf dibawah naungan Yayasan Universitas Islam Bandung berupaya terus untuk meningkatkan kinerja manajemen nya dalam upaya menjadi salah satu yang terbaik dalam pengelolaan Ziswaf. Oleh karena itu diperlukan adanya suatu perangkat yang baik dalam pengambilan keputusan dan pengelolaan organisasi berdasarkan data yang terintegrasi. Salah satu perangkat yang dapat digunakan adalah Business Intelligence (BI) yang mencakup penyediaan laporan yang relevan, kartu skor (scorecards), dasbor, analisis multi dimensi, analisis statistik, model, dan atau simulasi kepada pengguna untuk meningkatkan kinerja manajemen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan model BI yang tepat dalam pengelolaan Baitul Mal Unisba. Metodologi BI ini diawali dengan melakukan pengamatan terhadap proses pengambilan keputusan dan data/dokumen yang diperlukan. Selanjutnya dilakukan penyusunan evaluasi infrastruktur, analisis bisnis, hingga pembuatan rancangan BI dan uji coba implementasi aplikasi BI di BMU.

Abstract:
This research was conducted at a four-wheeled vehicle manufacturing company located in Jakarta. The average lead time for making the Plant 2 Daily Production Report is currently around 12 minutes. With the long reporting time, this process is considered less efficient. In this research, business process improvement will be carried out by identifying non value-added activities and using business process improvement methodology. In improving the reporting process, Excel Macros will be used. After the implementation of business process improvements, the average time for making Daily Production Reports is reduced to 4 minutes or there is a time saving of 67%.

Abstract:
Aggregate planning makes companies possible to arrange the way of optimally utilizing company resources in order to achieve effective and efficient capacity which is made based on future demand forecasts. Pak Tabah Tofu Factory is a home factory that produces White Tofu and Yellow Tofu. This factory is still operating traditionally without clear bookkeeping and planning. Demand forecasting and aggregate planning are made to predict the next period’s production by adjusting the number of workers so that the tofu production at the Pak Tabah Tofu Factory becomes more efficient. The selected method used by this research was selected trough the smallest MAPE score, named the Moving Average Method with a value of 0.136 and 0.11. In the aggregate planning, Mixed Strategy was chosen because this strategy produces the lowest production plan value of Rp, 554,526,200,- and Rp. 528,732,000,-. This strategy is the best strategy to be use by Pak Tabah’s Tofu Factory because not only produces for the delivery but also for the stock.

Abstract:
Energy needs in Indonesia tend to increase from year to year due to population growth and economic growth. This is a challenge for national energy security to be able to balance the amount of supply with the amount of demand (it is estimated that demand in 2035 will be three times higher than the current demand). Biomass is an environmentally friendly fuel that can be used as a substitute for fossil fuels to reduce global warming. Indonesia is believed to have the potential to become one of the main players in the world wood pellet industry. However, Indonesia's wood pellet production is still relatively small, which is around 80,000 tons per year. Therefore, it is important to dig deeper. To analyze the potentials associated with the Wood Pellet Biomass Industry in Indonesia, two methods can be used, namely BCG analysis and SWOT analysis. From the BCG analysis, it is found that Indonesia is in the Question Mark position for the wood pellet industry, with the value of market growth rate, and relative market share of 87.2270943% and 0.08756403 respectively. Thus, the most suitable SWOT strategy to be applied to the Question Mark position is the SO (Strength-Opportunity) strategy, namely; maximizing the natural resources owned, starting from the availability of land and the availability of existing plants to meet national energy and international markets, as well as supporting the Paris protocol policy

Abstract:
Total Quality Management (TQM) adalah pendekatan yang dapat menunjang suatu perusahaan untuk dapat meningkatkan berbagai aspek di perusahaan seperti kinerja karyawan, kualitas produk dan layanan, dan lain-lain. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui terkait pengaruh Total Quality Management (TQM) terhadap kinerja karyawan dan kepuasan karyawan di PT. Nagai Plastic Indonesia yang mungkin dapat menjadi acuan dalam pengambilan keputusan manajemen guna meningkatkan kualitas produk maupun pelayanan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan metode SEM-PLS yang berfungsi untuk dapat mengetahui nilai pengaruh Total Quality Management (TQM) terhadap kinerja karyawan maupun kepuasan karyawan sehingga dapat menjadi tolak ukur manajemen puncak dalam menigkatkan kualitas produk dan pelayanan perusahaan. Hasil analisa dengan menggunakan metode yang telah di tentukan adalah adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara Total Quality Management (TQM) terhadap kinerja karyawan dan kepuasan karyawan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan pentingnya penerapan TQM, khususnya dalam industri manufaktur, yang secara langsung dapat meningkatkan kinerja dan kepuasan karyawan. Dalam jangka panjang, hal ini juga akan meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan.

Abstract:
Spare parts are an important factor in the continuity of the production process for a manufacturing company. Its existence affects the company's operational processes. Besides, the inventory cost requires a large enough capital from the company's total capital. PT. ABCD currently has not applied the ABC method to determine the category of each part. This research was conducted by analyzing nine critical parts obtained from the ABC analysis results for the fast-moving category. The parts analyzed were focused on category A, with a fast-moving part value of 80.71% of the total existing parts. Based on Period Order Quantity (POQ) method, it was found that the total inventory cost applied by the company for the nine types of critical parts was IDR 37,054,735. In contrast, using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method single order multiple products resulted in a total inventory cost of IDR 18 841,277, -. This result is better than the method established by the company, with savings of Rp. 18,213,458,

Abstract:
CV. XYZ is one of small and medium entrepreneurship producing a wide range of bamboo handicrafts such as chairs, tables, partitions, etc. The company wants to increase profit by saving on production costs and optimizing transport material handling distances between the production process directly related to the layout of the factory. In research conducted in CV XYZ, there is an inefficient layout. This is indicated by irregular material flows, storage of the residual material production and a lot of material movement between operations. Type of layout used is process layout design, with the objective to minimize the total movement moment. The algorithm used is the CRAFT algorithm that requires data of transfer materials cost (multiplication of the distance with the frequency of movement). Besides methods used in this research is qualitative method that ' s using map relations activity diagram relations activity. Beside that simulation is performed to compare the existing layout with the proposed layout. Based on the research that has been done, the layout of the proposed methods can reduce the CRAFT movement of the moment of total material to 16.25% with yields as much as 21 Product Family Chair in one month while the layout of the proposed use of the ARC produces as many as 20 products only.

Abstract:
In addition to the advancement of manufacturing industries, Bekasi Regency also has culinary as supporting industry. It is undeniable that culinary is indeed one of the mainstays of business in Indonesia. Seeing the other side of the culinary business, it turns out that the culinary business has a fairly serious risk to the environment. FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) states that leftover food waste contributes 10% of the world emissions gas which causes greenhouse effects and other serious environmental impacts. The amount of risk caused by food waste is expected to be a concern and consideration for culinary businesses. So environmental damage is not getting bigger, and also can create a business that cares about the environment. To analyze the application of environmental awareness in restaurant MSMEs (Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises) in Bekasi Regency, this research using environmental responsibility variables as the dependent variable and independent variables namely environmental awareness, environmental accounting reporting and environmental audits. This study uses quantitative research methods that take primary data from 150 restaurant SMEs actors in Bekasi District. Analysis of data with multiple linear regression methods whose results show that environmental attention and environmental audit variables have no significant effect on the implementation of environmental responsibility, while the environmental accounting reporting variable has a significant effect on the implementation of environmental responsibility in restaurant SMEs in Bekasi District.

Pharmaceutical industry especially that move in generic products, have many kinds of products to be manufactured in its production lines with the shortest possible time. This condition causes the frequent of changeover process. This cause requires the company to further improve the effectiveness of the machine by reducing the time of changeover process in terms of setup and clean-up machine. In order to reducing the time of setup and clean-up activity use the method of approaches the SMED analysis method to reduce unnecessary motion waste (value added and non-value added derived from lean manufacturing). Before conduct the research, in the 5th production line was not in the Kanban system. So, it often occurs the changeover process. The longest changeover time is in the drying room. After that conduct the Time and Motion Study in order to know the detail setup activities in the drying room. This is due to problems in the working methods and environment factors. Based on data from observations made on the engine FBD, there are 49 activities comprising 44 internal activities and 5 activities that can be converted to an external. Then from 44 internal activities, only 43 were able to be combined activity of up to 11 activities. Results from this study is able to decrease setup time and clean-up on the machine FBD by 62.18%. Abstract:
PT. FSI is a company engaged in the automotive sector. Increased demand and efforts to meet customer satisfaction, then encouraging companies to continue to make various improvements including the shipping department, which is to facilitate the delivery of products to customers. One of the causes of the delay in the delivery of products to customers (delay delivery) is that there is a problem in the pre-delivery process, namely the storage conveyor machine. A storage conveyor machine is a machine that connects from the results of the production process to the temporary storage of goods which are then put into trucks to be sent to consumers.The objective achieved in this study was to analyze the causes of the delay delivery in the process of shipping car seats on conveyor storage machines and make improvements to reduce the jammed base pallet frequency on the storage conveyor machine using the six sigma method. Based on the results of the research and analysis that have been carried out, it turns out that the case of the jammed base pallet on the conveyor storage machine is the cause of delay delivery to the customer and then make improvement to overcome or reduce the frequency of jammed base pallet problems on the storage conveyor machine by adding sponges to the shaft roller conveyor. The addition of sponge rolls is intended to increase power when moving base pallet between stations.

Abstract:
In Malaysia, the Road Transport Department (RTD) is one of the public sectors facing the issue of having excessive waiting times at their service counter. Various alternatives have been proposed to address this problem, such as implementing an e-government service via the official RTD portal and creating other units so that the demand can be segregated, which also involves the creation of other agencies including myEG and UTC. However, the problem has persisted and has even become one of the most urgent policy issues that plague the RTD. Thus, this study aims to propose an online system that will help manage queue during the service and therefore optimise the waiting time. Several methods were employed to achieve the objectives, including conducting semi-structure interview, observation, and time study at RTD Bukit Katil, Melaka, developing the online system with Adobe Dream Weaver, Oracle SQL Developer software, and Adobe Cold Fusion, and validating and verifying the system using usability studies and questionnaires. The first online system involves an online queue number booking system. With this developed system, clients can use an online system to book their queue number. Furthermore, this system provides clients with the duration of the waiting time so that they can be present at the counter in time before their assigned service. The second proposal involves utilising an online queue booking system. With this system, clients can book their appointment according to the specific time with the RTD staff. This system also makes it possible for the client to come and to be serviced on time. This system aims to optimise the waiting time at the RTD, improve customer satisfaction, and serve as a reference for other government agencies so that their services can be improved

Abstract:
Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) play a significant role for Indonesian economy. However, many SMEs have difficulty developing its business. The various SME development programs that are provided are generally less impactful, ineffective, and unsustainable. Therefore, a special study is needed to determine the development program for SMEs. This research integrates two methods in multi criteria decision making (MCDM), i.e. decision-making method of trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) and analytic network process (ANP) method to determine which internal factors that are most important for SMEs development. Based on the data obtained from the experts and the results of the analysis, internal factor that has biggest weight for the development of SMEs are managerial quality, investment, business owner characteristics, and entrepreneurial orientation; consecutively. Moreover, technology awareness and the determination and achievement of targets (sub-factor of managerial quality), technological development (sub-factor of investment), and membership/involvement in business/association groups (sub-factor of business owner characteristics) are significant factor for SMEs development. Abstract:
Department of technical training is the department that responsible for training program for the entire production technician in PT.ABC. In order to constantly improve the quality of training service, a research was conducted to analyze the satisfaction of production technician towards training service quality that organized by technical training department. Production technician will determine, whether the training program has been satisfactory or not. To determine the participants' satisfaction of the quality of the training service, this research has started by using the concept of service quality and also shows a model of service quality gap. Analysis of the participants' satisfaction was measured by using the service quality in order to know the gap between actual performance and expectation performance of the training service. This research was conducted to determine the priority factor that must be done to improve the quality of the training services. Abstract:
PT. PQR produces casting for automotive products. Based on data from the Quality Control department, there are several products with high defect levels and most of defect products are categorized as scrap that make the company's efficiency decrease. This condition is very detrimental to the company because it will add costs that should not be spent. Therefore, this research is conducted on the causes of defects for finding the solutions. The results of the observation showed that the data during January - March 2017 knuckle arm steering products had a defect rate of 20.04% with macro shrinkage as the biggest contributor. In March-July 2017 improvements were made with the concept of lean manufacturing with the PDCA method. The results of these improvements provide improved quality of knuckle arm steering products so that defects are reduced by 15.01% to 5.03%. Then the cost incurred before improvement is Rp. 2,626,160 and after improvement is Rp 2,224,890

Abstract:
PT.S is a metal pressing company that produces spare parts for the automotive industry. The increasing number of new companies, encouraging the company to make improvements continously, one of which is by reducing the processing time. The problem that occurs is the frequent occurrence of late pulling stocks in the finished product inventory area. One of them occurs in the Cap product (C1805-009) within a period of 6 months (October 2017 to March 2018) 16 times the stockout in the finished product inventory area. In addition, an increase in demand requires companies to do various ways, including adding four inspectors on each shift. This study aims to analyze the flow of production processes and waste of time with a simulation approach. Based on the simulation results using the Promodel software, it is known that the work station that is the cause of flow congestion is the inspection work station. Proposed improvements in simulation results also showed improvements, namely the reduction of processing time by 330.66% and the reduction in the number of operators by 50%. The simulation results can be considered by PT. S to improve the flow of the Cap product manufacturing process (C1805-009).

Abstract:
The export demand for Electoric Control Unit (ECU) products, which continued to increase by approximately 25% in December 2014, made the company have to review its production capacity. Based on current production capacity data, it is known that the process cycle time is 64.9 seconds while the takt time needed to meet consumer demand is 39.4 seconds for the first production line. With working time included in working hours overtime, this first-line capacity cannot meet production demands. Work measurement is done to get actual time data for capacity calculation. Man machine chart is one of the tools used to determine the production line capacity with the current number of machines and workers. To be able to fulfill the production demand, a capacity design with 2 proposed improvements is carried out, namely: adding a working time of one shift for the first production line or balancing work time between lines. By calculating the results obtained and the costs incurred, the proposal for balancing work time between lines becomes more effective to do.

Abstract:
PT XYZ is one of the flexible manufacturing industries. In terms of overcoming competition in the printing industry, PT XYZ built the Rotogravure company in 2011. The subsidiary is engaged in manufacturing Cylinder Rotogravure which supplies PT XYZ units. From a few years back since the establishment of this company, the target that should have been reached in amount of 5760 Cylinder / year. This target hasnot been achieved. This occurs because there is a problem in the production process reaching ± 49.4% and continues to appear which results in a disrupted delivery schedule, many customer complaints due to the low quality goods being shipped.The method used for this improvement process is the system or concept of Six Sigma namely DMAIC. From the DMAIC method, the tools used for the analysis process are the Pareto, Fishbone, 5W1H and Data Sheet diagrams. These tools are core tools that are focused on finding problems that often occur at PT XYZ. From the results of this improvement, a design is got to make the cleaning process aids, there were changes in parameters in the production process by reducing the current density and temperature in the Copper machine with a temperature of 30OC and current density of 20 A / dm2. The research and improvements that have been made are 94.45% with a total pinhole wastage of 1 cylinder unit.

Abstract:
Food factory is a chemical trading and processing company for semi-finished food. One of the processed foods produced is jelly powder. The problems faced by food manufacturers are how to reduce the occurrence of product defects and the length of product mixing process that is 180 minutes for A-type 147 jelly. Proposed improvements are made by the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method where defective products occur at most hardness and syneresis parameters and are caused by 4 elements namely method, environment, human, and material. In this proposed improvement, additional methods are carried out by reconsideration after the raw material is grinding (puree) because in this process additive raw materials which are free flowing will be reduced due to exposure to air, added temperature control devices in raw materials, training on raw materials, and search for new suppliers with the same specifications. At the reduction of processing time, the mixing time is 150 minutes, so the food factory can reduce the mixing time by 30 minutes.

Abstract:
The coating process is the process of covering the tablet with a thin layer of substance which generally has very little effect. The process coating process uses a Driam machine and the machine has a very high utilization of 125%. The company's ability to provide additional salute machines requires time in its investment, remedial efforts to reduce the damage level of the salute machine are needed so as not to increase machine utilization, while the damages that occured in the coating process from January to December 2016 are Speed Pump, Air Flow Damper, Spray Gun, Supply Compressed Air, Steam, Pan Speed, & Wind Hose. From the background of the problem the company needed repairs that were useful to reduce the level of damage to the salute machine. These improvements are carried out using the Plan Do Check Action (PDCA) method. The PDCA method is a repetitive process improvement activity to solve a problem in quality control and is included in the Total Quality Management (TQM) in which TQM is the application of quantitative methods and human knowledge to improve materials and services which of course improves processes and efforts to meet customer satisfaction . The level of damage to the machine salute has decreased after repairs to the engine damage Pump Speed & Air Flow Damper where it eliminates 2 of 7 damage that occurs in the coating process or by 45.6% of the total damage.

Abstract:
Inventory is one of important factors in manufacturing industry to ensure production process run. This research was conducted in an aluminum ingot manufacture company. The company faces a problem to manage the inventory system for their main raw material. The problem deals with the high expenditure due to safety stock that causes high inventory cost. Total inventory cost based on current condition is $270,706 per year. The proposed improvement method that used in this analysis is continuous review system. This method is applied to determine the appropriate Reorder Point (ROP) and to minimize the inventory cost. Based on the proposed improvement, total inventory cost can be reduced by 30%. This proposed system is also equipped with Decision Support System by using what-if analysis method as the tool to make decision for the next several periods by giving several scenarios and considering the aspects that influence to decision.Keywords: Inventory, Reorder point, Continuous Review System, Decision Support System, What If Analysis, Scenario
