This study aims to describe the effect of using contextual learning module based on multiple representations of static fluid material toward students' conceptual understanding. The sample of this research was the students of class XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 3 in SMA N 1 Trimurjo, Central Lampung. This research was conducted using Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Data were tested with N-gain analysis, normality test, homogeneity test and Independent Sample T-test. Results from the Independent Sample T-test value of the Sig value. (2-Tailed) was less than 0.05 which is 0.036, then it can be stated that there is a significant influence of contextual learning module based on multiple representations toward the students’ conceptual understanding. Based on the N-gain value, the average N-gain concept comprehension in the experimental class was 0.56 (medium category), while the control class was 0.46 (medium category). Contextual learning modules based on multiple representations can improve students’ conceptual understanding.

Islamic Religious Education is an important and inseparable part of the educational curriculum in Indonesia. Besides being an obligation for its adherents, Islamic learning can instill the values of faith and make students possess noble morals (akhlakul karimah). This study aims to examine and discuss how the implementation process of Islamic education in instilling noble morals in students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (Islamic Junior High School). This study uses a qualitative approach with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing as the data analysis. The sample of this study was the principal of the madrasah, vice-principal, students, and teachers of Islamic education in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 1 Makassar. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that through the implementation of Islamic Religious Education, the students could possess noble characters. There are eight behaviors that are applied to instill the noble characters, namely habituating the smiles, salaam, and greetings, mutual respect (tolerance), sunnah fasting on Monday and Thursday, performing the Duha prayer, performing dhuhr prayers, reciting the Quran, congregational prayer, and getting used to alms giving (infaq). These eight commendable behaviors are recommended for teachers and principals to be applied in their respective schools.

Islamic Education becomes an important subject in maintaining moral and character. This study aims to see the extent to which internalization of the students’ scientific attitude in Madrasah Aliyah (Islamic Senior High School) through Islamic Education. The qualitative approach is used in this research. The data was collected through interview, observation, and documentation. The data was then analyzed to see how the process of the internalization of the scientific attitude works. Based on the result of the study, it is found that the process of scientific attitude internalization carried out through scientific approach, especially in the Qur'an Hadith subject, has formed a critical and democratic attitude. The Fiqh subject forms discipline and responsibility. The Islamic cultural history subject forms an open-minded and critical attitude. Meanwhile, learning Aqidah Akhlak forms honesty, discipline, and democratic attitudes. The implication of this research lies in the strengthening the Islamic education teachers’ understanding in shaping the students’ scientific attitude, so that the students can face contemporary religious problems critically, democratically, and responsibly and become part of the solution for modern Muslim societies.

National aspiration in different ways effects to the community response through their condition. This situation reflects the dynamics of interest in diverse direction. Therefore, this article will identify the development of Muslim minority in Pattani, Thailand. A qualitative approach was applied to conducting research. In-depth interview and non-participant observation was an instrument to collect data. Data triangulation was conducted through twice focus group discussions in a different university. This article discusses the portrait of Islamic education in Pattani of Thailand. They face dynamic and struggle to maintain a combination of national interest and local need. National aspiration is the main source to formulate the institutional design. On the other hand, they embedded local aspiration through ethnic and religious values to combine in national education. In keeping with the identities and personal communication, they tried to root the religious value and belief to educational form. Finally, this article amplifies the local condition in Pattani Muslim society. The development of Islamic education runs to the situation in extending ethnic, religious expression, and politic.

The quality of education is strongly influenced by teacher performance. One factor that supports the improvement of teacher performance is job satisfaction. When job satisfaction is high, it will affect job performance and achieve goals optimally. This study aims to determine the effect of job satisfaction on teacher performance in the state Islamic Senior High School in Medan, Indonesia. The research method used is quantitative methods with a sample of 45 teachers taken from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Medan. Data analysis was performed using a t-test with a significance level of 95 %. Based on the test result, it is obtained that tcount > ttable. This shows that there is a significant correlation between job satisfaction and teacher performance. Based on the analysis results, it is concluded that job satisfaction is one of the factors that increase teacher performance where the higher the job satisfaction, the better and the performance of the teachers. This study provides recommendations for educational policyholders to increasingly pay attention to the factors that can increase teacher job satisfaction in state Islamic High School public in particular or other educational institutions in general.

Engagement for lecturer in Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Principles of Higher Education) across the higher education has been widely investigated. However, the professional lecturer implementation had not shown practical packaging and could not reach all the skills that gift practically needed in the higher education role. The study aim is to describe the professionalism development of lecturers of Islamic higher education institutions in West Sumatera, Indonesia from the aspects of education, research, and community services, as constituted in the Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi. Descriptive quantitative research method was used where the data taken from questionnaire and documentation. The population of the study includes 616 lecturers spreading from three Islamic state universities, with a sample of 62 lecturers. The finding showed that the professionalism development of the lecturers was done by designing lesson plans, pursuing doctoral education, attending conferences and workshops, involving students in community activities, and filling for intellectual property rights on their research. This indicates that the education and teaching, research and service can be used as a means of developing professional lectures at Islamic higher education institutions.

The birth of a variety of new vocabulary or term in the Arabic language that originated in a foreign language is a form of a modern linguistic phenomenon that emerged at this time. The reality shows that Arabic continues to evolve following the times that certainly gives its own difficulties for speakers of the Arab nation as well as from outside the Arab nation. However, this article will discuss the changes that occur in the morphological process of Arabization. This research used the qualitative research, including the types of research studies library or library research that takes a data source in the library. While the methods used i.e. linguistic analysis methods on morphology to produce conclusions as for the basis for the formation of Arabization. The results of this research show that there is at least some form of absorption process of morphological changes in the words used in the process of Arabization, i.e. ta'rib or morfemis/afiksasi process with the form sirkumfiks, the suffix, and prefix. Some forms of these processes contribute to the understanding of the application of some rules of Arabization to ease the Arab language learners and speakers from outside the Arab nation in learning, understanding and generate new vocabulary needed in communications globally. Penelitian ini akan membahas tentang perubahan morfologis yang terjadi dalam proses arabisasi. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif, termasuk penelitian studi pustaka atau library research yang mengambil sumber data secara kepustakaan. Metode dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode analisis kebahasaan pada morfologi untuk menghasilkan kesimpulan untuk menjadi dasar pembentukan arabisasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa setidaknya ada beberapa bentuk penyerapan kata dalam proses perubahan morfologis yang digunakan dalam proses ta’rib atau arabisasi, yaitu proses morfemis/afiksasi dengan bentuk sirkumfiks, sufiks dan prefiks. Beberapa bentuk proses tersebut memberikan kontribusi terhadap pemahaman penerapan beberapa kaidah arabisasi sehingga memudahkan para pembelajar bahasa Arab dan penutur dari luar bangsa Arab dalam mempelajari, memahami dan menghasilkan kosa kata baru yang dibutuhkan dalam komunikasi secara global yang lebih luas.

The curriculum has a very important role in the educational process. In Indonesia, the curriculum had changed in several times, including: Kurikulum 1994, Kurikulum Berbasis Kompetensi (KBK) in 2004, Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP), and Kurikulum 2013. The focus of this research, is in the implemetation the curriculum 2013 in Muslim minority areas. The Implementation of the curriculum 2013 at MIN Cempaka Putih Jakarta and West Papua Malawele partly already implemented properly and in accordance with the objectives of the curriculum in 2013. The change of the teacher's role as a motivator and facilitator already visible. Where in learning the Arabic language teachers give students to be more able exploring earning materials and teachers have also begun to embed a variety of character education as a team-based learning.Kurikulum memiliki peranan yang sangat penting dalam proses pendidikan. Kurikulum di Indonesia pernah beberapa kali mengalami perubahan, diantaranya: Kurikulum 1994, Kurikulum Berbasis Kompetensi (KBK) 2004, Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP), dan Kurikulum 2013. Fokus penelitian pada kurikulum 2013 yang di Implementasikan di wilayah minoritas muslim. Implementasi kurikulum 2013 di MIN Cempaka Putih Jakarta dan MIN Malawele Papua Barat sebagian sudah terlaksana dengan baik dan sesuai dengan tujuan kurikulum 2013. Pergantian peran guru sebagai motivator dan fasilitator sudah terlihat. In recent, inquiry-based learning is gaining popularity in science curricula, especially for international research and development projects as well as teaching and learning science. One of the underlying reasons is that its success can be significantly improved due to the recent technical developments that allow the inquiry process to be supported by various learning environments including information technology. Inquiry-based learning is often organized into inquiry phases that focused to build students process science skills. However, different variations on what is called the inquiry competence can be found throughout the literature. The current article focuses on identifying and summarizing the core features of inquiry-based learning by means of a systematic literature review and develops a synthesized inquiry process that combines the strengths of existing inquiry-based learning frameworks for enhancing students achievement. The review was conducted using the Web of Science and ERIC (Education Resources Information Center) data base; a total of 15 articles describing inquiry phases or whole inquiry process were selected based on specific search criteria. An analysis of the articles resulted in the identification of five distinct general inquiry phases: Orientation, Conceptualization, Investigation, Discussion and Conclusion. Inquiry-based learning usually ends with the Conclusion phase. Based on analysis almost of the study showed that inquiry-based learning has shown students’ increasing in cognitive achievement significantly. Akhir-akhir ini, pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri semakin populer di kurikulum sains, terutama untuk penelitian dan pengembangan dan pembelajaran sains global. Salah satu alasan utamanya adalah keberhasilannya dalam meningkatkan kompetensi belajar sains siswa secara signifikan, yang perkembangannya saat ini sangat memungkinkan terjadinya proses inkuiri yang didukung oleh berbagai lingkungan belajar termasuk teknologi informasi. Pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri sering disusun dalam fase penyelidikan yang berfokus untuk membangun kemampuan sains bagi para siswa. Namun, variasi yang berbeda mengenai makna kompetensi penyelidikan sering kita temukan di berbagai literatur. Artikel ini berfokus untuk mengidentifikasi dan meringkas fitur inti dari pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri melalui metode meta analisis, mengkaji literatur secara sistematis dan mengembangkan proses penyelidikan yang disintesis dengan menggabungkan kekuatan kerangka kerja pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri yang ada untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Kajian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan basis data dari Web of Science dan ERIC (Education Resources Information Center); Sebanyak 15 artikel yang menjelaskan tahap penyelidikan atau keseluruhan proses penyelidikan dipilih berdasarkan kriteria pencarian yang spesifik. Analisis terhadap artikel menghasilkan identifikasi lima fase penyelidikan umum yang dapat berbeda secara istilah satu sama lainnya yaitu: Orientasi, Konseptualisasi, Investigasi, Diskusi dan Kesimpulan. Disamping itu, hampir seluruh pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri biasanya berakhir dengan fase Kesimpulan. Berdasarkan analisis di seluruh hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri telah berhasil menunjukkan peningkatan penguasaan aspek kognitif siswa secara signifikan.
