Abstract
Based on the analysis of strategic foreign policy approaches of the Democrats that came to power in the United States, the article examines the promising directions of the development of Russian-American relations under the new Biden administration in terms of Russia's national security. The article focuses on the similarities and differences between the policies of the Democrats and the Republicans on this issue. As the study shows, we cannot expect a total confrontation in all areas of the development of Russian-American relations in the coming years. Where it is profitable, the United States will try to ensure its interests through negotiations. At the same time, according to the author, in the post-Soviet space, in the most important regions of the world, the United States will take all measures to put pressure on Russia, strengthen confrontation in relations with it in order to prevent the strengthening of Russia's position and influence in the modern world. Under the pretext of fighting for human rights in order to destabilize the domestic political situation and change the political regime, the Biden administration will try to organize a color revolution in our country.
