Abstract
The Tunantada is a cultural expression of the province of Jauja, Junin region ( Peru), which in recent years has spread throughout the country and in part of the world. There are many reasons for its expansion, one of them is music. The purpose of the article is to know the life story of some of its musicians and composers, and interpret the feelings that prompted them to compose songs in the tunantada genre. The qualitative methodological perspective, interpretive paradigm, life history method, served as a route to collect and process information from musicians and composers. The documentary review and the in-depth interview were carried out, finding that, as an art or as an internal expression of man, the composers transmit individual and collective feelings in the songs; therefore, people like the tunantada because it reflects their feelings, pain, disappointment and hope. Keywords
