Abstract
Since higher education research has emerged from pedagogy, many studies have long failed to place higher education within the education system. In a multidisciplinary perspective, higher education issues are more often seen as social issues shared by disciplines than purely educational issues. Due to the lack of pedagogical perspectives, higher education studies are not well-known, and higher education research has become a broad multidisciplinary field with no roots. Although at the organizational level, the current higher education research has made progress in the institutionalization of disciplines, higher education has also obtained disciplines in universities in China, However, at the level of disciplines, research on higher education must reflect or not. Re-examine the great value of education in higher education research, it is clear that the “higher education” pedagogy is an indispensable foundation for the maturity of higher education research or the realization of higher education.
