Abstract: The article deals with complex forms resulting from the connection of a participle 1 or 2 with a noun. The aim of the corpus-based study is to show which semantic types of connection are present, i.e. which semantic roles the nouns are represented in and how the pattern behaves in language use. Particular attention is paid to the thematic domains in which such formations are common and tend to become terms.
