Strategies for Improving College Female Teachers’ Oral Expression

Abstract: This study conducted field interviews with female teachers and students in colleges and universities in Guangdong Province as the research object through literature survey and in-depth interview, and comprehensively grasped the advantages, shortcomings and difficulties of female teachers' oral expression from the perspective of teachers and students. It is suggested that the core curriculum of broadcasting and hosting art system should be applied to teachers’ oral ex-pression, and female teachers should pay attention to the standard pronunciation, flexible use of pragmatics, interpersonal communication skills and the cultivation of special temperament. Finally, attentions are paid to female teachers’ oral expression from the aspects of speech problems, meth-ods, vividness of oral expression and interpersonal communication skills. This study suggests to combine the oral expression skills of broadcasting and hosting with teachers’ spoken language us-ing Chinese broadcasting and hosting art system’s research and practice. Also, the research radius of oral classroom should be enriched, and the advantages and disadvantages of female college teachers’ oral expression should be found, so as to improve the professional ability of female teach-ers from the skill level, and thus enhance the professional identity of female teachers, which is of great innovative significance and research value.
