The moderating effect of crisis experience on the relationship between transformational leadership, decision-making styles and crisis management in Yemen organisations

Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the moderating effect of crisis experience on the relationship between transformational leadership, decision-making styles and crisis management in Yemen organisations. A total of 281 questionnaires were distributed among Yemen private organisations. Partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) was employed in the data analysis. The findings indicated that transformational leadership and decision-making styles have a significant influence on crisis management during crisis confrontation. In addition, the moderating effect of crisis experience has been confirmed to enhance the relationship between transformational leadership, decision making styles and crisis management. In particular, the research successfully revealed that transformational leaders have the ability to transfer their enthusiasm, high power and transmit the inspirational motivation to their subordinates, which leads to better interaction during the crisis. Future research is recommended to focus on mediating and moderating role of the factors that influence crisis management.
