Realization of complete permanent magnet brushless DC motor drive for electric two-wheelers

Abstract
PMBLDC motors are extensively used in industrial and household applications with an emphasis on Electric vehicles due to their significant advantages over conventional AC machines. The paper aims at design, simulation and hardware realization of complete PMBLDC Drive for Electric Vehicle applications. The drive system is modelled and simulated in Simulink Environment. As a part of hardware implementation, three phase inverter and its gate driver, current and voltage sensors and hall sensor interfacing circuit have been designed and implemented. TI controller Delfino F28335 facilitates the manual speed control of the drive system. The motor operated in motoring modeby considering driver input as acceleration signal. The experimental and simulation results are presented and compared.
