Kelimpahan dan Dominansi Lalat Buah (Diptera: Tephritidae) pada Pertanaman Cabai (Capsicum annuum L.), di Desa Paya Benua, Bangka

Abstract
Fruit flies Bactrocera spp. is one of the pests in chili plants. The range level of damage caused by a fruit flies on chili is 60-80%. Information about abundance and dominance of fruit fly species in chili orchard was limited, especially in Bangka Island. The aim of this study was to determine the diversity of species and the dominance of fruit flies found in the chili orchard, Paya Benua Village, Bangka. Fruit fly collection was carried out by installing a trap with methyl eugenol and each location installed with four traps. Traps were installed in the morning (06.00-10.00), noon (10.00-14.00), and afternoon (14.00-18.00). The number of fruit flies obtained during the research was 899 specimens. Fruit fly species trapped in the methyl eugenol trap in chili orchard, Paya Benua Village, Bangka are Bactrocera carambolae, Bactrocera dorsalis, and Bactrocera umbrosa. The number of fruit fly B. carambolae, B. dorsalis, and B. umbrosa were 251, 546, and 102 individuals. Fruit fly Bactrocera dorsalis is the dominant species in chili orchard, Paya Benua Village, Bangka.
