Réformer les droits des femmes en Algérie

Abstract
The reformist discourse adopted by the Algerian regime after President Bouteflika came to power in 1999 has highlighted the emancipation of women in all spheres of public and private life. The religious frame has often been summoned by the power itself and by Islamists. Based on an analysis of the main reforms adopted in the field of women's status by the Algerian government over the past 20 years, this article aims to shed light on some aspects of the political debates and arguments put forward for or against the proposed reforms.
