Study of Scour at Double Submarine Pipelines due to Water Currents.(Dept.C)

Abstract
The main objective of this study is to improve the influence of spacing between double submarine p < /strong>ipelines on local scour, Exp < /strong>eriments have shown how local scour develops around double submarine p < /strong>ipelines in noncohesive sediment. Based on experimental results, a number of curves are illustrated to rep < /strong>resent the relationship between Gain! scour dep < /strong>th and Froude number for p < /strong>ipeline diameters, spacing 7:01 en pip < /strong>elines, flow dep < /strong>th and flow rate p < /strong>er unit width. It highlights the limitations of Froude number to estimate maximum scour dep < /strong>th at sub-marine p < /strong>ipelines. According to Froude number limitations. Three formulae for p < /strong>rediction of maximum scour dep < /strong>th at submarine pipelines are presented.
