Abstract
This is the first treatment of the family Octoblepharaceae for Australia. The only known Australian species, Octoblepharum albidum Hedw., is described and illustrated, and a map of its known and potential distribution in Australia is included. Octoblepharum exiguum Müll.Hal. is here treated as a new synonym of O. albidum. Keywords
