Abstract
Antithyroid drugs are the treatment optionfor toxic multinodular goiter (TNG). Carbimazole isgenerally the drug of choice except in pregnancy wherepropylthiouracil is used. It is well tolerated and commonside effects include allergy, gastrointestinal disorder,and rarely agranulocytosis. Hepatitis is another rarebut serious complication. We reported a case of 43years female diagnosed as hyperthyroidism, whodeveloped cholestatic hepatitis and skin manifestationafter carbimazole treatment for 2 months. Sherecovered completely following withdrawal of thedrug and steroid therapy.
