Research on the Development of Digital City Governance in Dongguan

Abstract

With the increasing demands of the public on living environment and government service level, China’s digital urban governance is also developing and improving. At present, Dongguan’s digital urban governance is in the development stage, and the system structure, system construction and work process have been formed and achieved certain results. However, there are still many problems in Dongguan’s digital city governance, such as a series of problems in the imperfect organiza-tional system, the imperfect assessment and evaluation system, the stability of the workforce and the low business ability. By analyzing the causes of the problems, relevant suggestions are put forward in terms of improving the management system and mechanism, establishing a comprehensive digital evaluation system and guiding social forces to participate in multiple ways, further enhancing the digital city governance to serve the economic development of Dongguan, and promoting the digital city governance and development of Dongguan.
