Abstract
Although the term was first officially used in 1982 (Nutma et al., 2019), neuroimmunology is now a mature field that has gained immense traction in the past decade. Thanks to novel technological advances, the cellular and molecular mechanisms that mediate the crosstalk between the immune and nervous systems are increasingly appreciated in both physiological and pathological states (Nutma et al., 2019).Similar to the brain, the inner ear has long been considered anThis publication has 49 references indexed in Scilit:
