This article, which is an integral part of a larger study on the missionary and pastoral life of Msgr. Miguel Ángel Olano Urteaga, bishop of Guam from 1934 to 1945, is basically a descriptive and statistical study of the sources about the prelate, stored in the Provincial Historical Archive of the Capuchins of Pamplona (Navarra), in the Personal Funds Section. For an objective vision, our analysis is based on the following categories: 1. quantitative, according to the form of each source, and 2. qualitative, according to the subject of each source. Consequently, we see: 1. that his epistolary pastoral activity tackled the danger of the faithful of his mission, Guam, 1942-1945, from distant soils; but when Olano resigned, it calmed down, although his friends did not abandon him; 2. that official and private correspondences formed firm bond between Olano and other priests; 3. the parallel usage of Spanish and English. Este artículo, que pertenece a un estudio más amplio sobre la vida misionera y pastoral de Mons. Miguel Ángel Olano Urteaga, obispo de Guam desde 1934 a 1945, ofrece un estudio descriptivo y estadístico de las fuentes (1918-1970) sobre el prelado, conservadas en el Archivo Histórico Provincial de Capuchinos de Pamplona (Navarra), en la Sección de Fondos Personales. Para obtener una visión objetiva de estas, las describimos siguiendo categorías de análisis cuantitativo, según la forma de cada fuente, y cualitativo, según la temática de cada fuente. Consecuentemente, vemos: 1. que su actividad pastoral epistolar afronta el peligro de los fieles de su misión en Guam entre 1942 y 1945 desde tierras lejanas, pero se calma al renunciar Olano en 1945, aunque sus amistades no lo dejaron; 2. que las cartas oficiales y privadas formaron firmes lazos entre Olano y otros clérigos; y 3. el uso paralelo de castellano e inglés.
