Abstract: The article deals with the importance of international cooperation of customs authorities in the fight against illegal trafficking of cultural heritage objects. In this context, a classification of international treaties is carried out as a legal basis. The article defines the concept and features of customs cooperation. It is noted that customs cooperation, which is based on the principle of cooperation of international law, acts as an integral part of international cooperation in the fight against illegal trafficking of cultural heritage objects. In this sense, customs cooperation is also an integral part of boundary and international cooperation among law enforcement authorities. The article also presents an analysis of the trends and forms of customs cooperation. The need to distinguish those forms is also noted.
