Abstract
During a survey on macromycetes in Denizli Province, Turkey, terrestrial specimens of Pluteus mediterraneus sp. nov. were collected under olive trees (Olea europaea L.). The new species is proposed based on morphological characters as well as phylogenetic analyses of nrITS sequences. The description is accompanied with colour photographs, line-drawings of the microscopic features, and a comparison with morphologically and phylogenetically closely related species. Keywords
