Rotifer composition of Adıgüzel Dam Lake (Denizli, Turkey)

En tr This study aims to determine the rotifer fauna of Adıgüzel Dam Lake that is located at Büyük Menderes River, where the samples were collected from 4 stations in monthly intervals during January-December 2007. Plankton samples were collected horizontally by plankton net with mesh size of 55 μm. Specimens obtained were then preserved in 4% formalin. As a result of qualitative analyses 25 taxa were identified from rotifers. All species were recorded for the first time from Adıgüzel Dam Lake. According to the QBrachionus/Trichocerca index (Q=3) used for the determination of trophic level, it was determined that the dam lake was eutrophic. Büyük Menderes Nehir sistemi üzerinde yer alan Adıgüzel Baraj Gölü’nün rotifer faunasını belirlemek amacıyla, Ocak-Aralık 2007 tarihleri arasında, seçilen 4 istasyondan aylık periyotlarla örneklemeler yapılmıştır. Horizontal çekimlerle gerçekleştirilen örneklemelerde 55 μm göz açıklığındaki Hydrobios marka plankton kepçesi kullanılmış olup, toplanan örnekler %4’lük formolde tespit edilmiştir. Örneklerin kalitatif değerlendirilmesi sonucunda rotiferlerden 25 takson saptanmıştır. Saptanan rotifer türleri Adıgüzel Baraj Gölü’nden ilk kez bildirilmekte olup trofik seviyenin belirlenmesinde kullanılan Q_{Brachionus/Trichocerca} indeksine göre (Q = 3) baraj gölünün ötrofik olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
