Abstract
Cyanotis ceylanica Hassk. (Commelinaceae) is reported as a new record for the flora of India from Gingee hills, Eastern Ghats of Tamil Nadu. Detailed descriptions of morphological and reproductive characters based on field observation with photographic images are provided for easy identification of this species.Keywords
