Abstract
Capsular bag distention syndrome (CBDS) or capsular block syndrome is a rare complication of cataract surgery. Neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) laser usually is effective treatment for CBDS. Rarely, surgical intervention is required in resistant cases (as in our case).
