Abstract
The article suggests a mathematical model describing the steady-state process of normal incidence, transmission and reflection of acoustic waves falling from a half-space filled with a homogeneous medium to the interface of a half-space filled with a layered heterogeneous 2-component one-dimensional-periodic medium, which can be considered a phonon crystal. The influence of geometrical parameters (size of inhomogeneities) and physical parameters of all media (density, speed of sound) on the coefficients of transmission and reflection is studied. For a number of materials the optimal parameter values for certain target functions are found. Keywords
