Bakırtepe (Sivas-Kangal) altın cevherleşmelerinin oluşum ve zenginleşme evrelerinin kavramsal modeli

Abstract
Sivas-Kangal-Bakırtepe Au mineralization is located in the northeastern part of the Eastern Taurides and occurs within the Lower Paleozoic-Mesozoic clastic and carbonate sedimentary rocks of the Taurus autochthonous units. Uncertainties associated with occurence, distribution and continuity of the ore is the primary factor that adversely affect ore production and related mining operation. Problems of locating zones enriched with Au required a revision of the current model and development of a new model that explains zones of primary and secondary enrichment. A comprehensive study has been conducted with the aim to develop a conceptual model. The studies included detailed geological, petrographical, geochemical, XRD, fluid inclusion analyses and karst processes. The conceptual model suggests that mineralization and enrichment of Au in the area can be explained by processes that took place in 3 main phases. The conceptual model was verified in practice. Mining operations were planned targetting the enriched zones as suggested by the model. The results approved to a great extent the success of the suggested model.
