The Impact of Excessive Cytokine Production in the Body, Particularly in the Context of Virus Infection

In general, most of the studies reviewed suggested beneficial effects of cytokines on the improvement of the immune system by increasing the expression of anti-inflammatory cytokines while reducing the expression of proinflammatory cytokines. The purpose of the present review is to briefly describe the impact of excessive cytokine production in the body, particularly in the context of virus infection.
