Coordinated control of distributed generators in meshed low-voltage microgrids: Power flow control and voltage regulation

Abstract
This article analyses the use of the Power-Based Control in meshed low-voltage microgrids. It is shown that the results in terms of power flow and voltage regulation are even better than for radial feeders. The PBC is able to proportionally coordinate the inverters spread in the grid, controlling its active and reactive power, considering the converter capability and the needs of the grid, determined by the central controller. The results consider a real meshed distribution network, with typical demand and local photovoltaic generation profiles.
