J Am Coll Surg. 2020; 231 : 721-739 Abstract Full Text Full Text PDF Google Scholar present a review of the published experience using the American College of Surgeons (ACS) NSQIP quality assessment and feedback platform to drive quality improvement (QI). The authors should be congratulated for pursuing a very challenging question and for bringing a well-structured inquiry to the challenge. They conclude that, although not every investigation has reached a definitive positive conclusion, published works provide ample evidence that the ACS NSQIP platform can be part of a very useful toolset and have a positive impact on processes and outcomes, including financial or resource end points.
