Abstract
The equilibrium between metallic titanium and titanium ions, 3Ti2+ = 2Ti3+ + Ti, in MgCl2–LiCl molten salt system was revaluated by means of best fitting. The measurement was also carried for the MgCl2–LiCl melt with various composition of LiCl at 1023 K. The results illustrate that the values of Kc correspond well with the composition of the melt which defined as polarizing power. Keywords
