Abstract
Room attendant and public area attendant’s job involved in repetitive activities and awkward posture that can cause uncomfortable ergonomic situation and can lead to musculoskeletal disorder. The aim of this research is to see the relation of work posture with musculoskeletal complaints on room attendant and public area attendant workers in Hotel Kartika Chandra especially on janitorial worker that cleans glasses, toilets and carpets. This research is using cross-sectional design approach which have been done in February until June 2019. Total sampling is used to determine the samples of all the population of room attendant and public area attendant workers in Hotel Kartika Chandra with 42 respondents as the samples. And the result shows that the majority of respondents having musculoskeletal issuereach 57,1%. Bivarat analysis shows that there is a correlation between work posture on musculoskeletal complaints. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust work tools that are in accordance with worker anthropometry and work stations and education about good and correct work ergonomics.
