An unusual triphasic transmitral flow: a special case of ‘mid-diastolic mitral regurgitation’ due to acute aortic regurgitation

Abstract

A 51-year-old man presented with decompensated heart failure due to acute aortic regurgitation; he also showed “mid-diastolic mitral regurgitation”, presumably originating from pressure crossover between the left ventricle and atrium.
