Abstract: Different kinds of superhydrophobic surfaces appear in the nature,which are studied by scientist to create artificial superhydrophobic surfaces that can be applied to various situations of application. This paper discusses some typical examples of natural superhydrophobic surfaces from plants and animals at first, then concludes current mainstream methods of preparation and testing of artificial superhydrophobic surfaces that have multiple durability to suit different environments and purposes.
