Abstract
The published text contains a personal memory of Professor Mikhail Alexeenko, a well-known Slavist, who died in 2020. Professor Alexeenko authored works in the field of East Slavic linguistics – phraseology, translation, lexicography and didactics of the Russian and Ukrainian languages. In his scientific career, he was affiliated with many universities, incl. the University of Lviv, the University of Leipzig, the University of Greiswald, the University of Szczecin and the University of Gdańsk. The reminiscences are supplemented with a list of the scholar’s most important works.
