Abstract
The article discusses the issues of anticoagulant preparation for elective electrical cardioversion in patients with persistent atrial fibrillation. Updated preparation regimens for electrical cardioversion are proposed, as well as the potential of using direct oral anticoagulants for this purpose is discussed.Keywords
