Abstract
On the occasion of the declaration of 2020 as the Year of Bilge Tonyukuk by UNESCO, to keep alive the memory of Bilge Tonyukuk who is the most important statesman in the II. Turkish Khanate period, the 1st International Turkish Literature Culture Education Symposium was organized online between 28-29 August 2020 in partnership with the International Association of Turkish Literature Culture Education, UNESCO National Commission of Turkey, Turkish Language Association, Bursa Uludağ University, Mersin University, Artvin Çoruh University, Western Caspian University, Prishtina University, Georgia Technical University, Valeh Hacılar International Scientific and Cultural Research Foundation, International Journal of Turkish Literature Culture Education, and BUGU Journal of Language and Education. Scientists from many countries, especially from the Turkic World, participated in the symposium. The papers presented at the symposium were broadcasted live simultaneously on the TEKE Academy’ channel on YouTube. In this study, which brought together many scientists specialized in Turcology during the Covid-19 pandemic, information is given about the 1st International Turkish Literature Culture Education Symposium, which contributes to the continuity of studies on Turcology Science without interruption.
