Abstract
Due to increase in the population and change in the life style there is huge increase in electricity demand and shortage in transmission and distribution network, making new platform for growth of distributed generator integration with power grids. The main reason for selecting the distributed generator is to reduce the power loss and improve the voltage profile of the network. This paper deals with the total power loss reduction and improvement in the voltage profile of power system network by optimal location of distributed generator. The fuzzy logic method is used to find the optimal location of distributed generator. Results are validated with conventional method. The fuzzy logic gives fast results with simple approach. The fuzzy and conventional methods are tested on practical twenty four bus system. The results obtained are satisfactory. Keywords
