Abstract
The article gives biographical background and a brief outline of the research carried out by the Doctor of Biological Sciences A.A. Tanasienko, who for more than 10 years worked as Deputy Director for Research in the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. For more than 15 years he worked as the Head of the Laboratory of soil-physical processes in the Institute and became one of the leading experts in soil erosion studies in Siberia.Keywords
